I admired Ringo the most.Back in the day the knock on him was he was only an o.k. drummer.I thought he was great.Later on he'd do appearances on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show.And was still hip as could be.Full of energy and still jammin'.He came out on the show wearing an earring and some slick hollywood glasses.It just seemed like he defined what 'cool' meant back then.

Perfect example on how the Beatles changed pop music for every musician after them. One of the many ways there sound was so unique is shown here in the "I'm so glad" part. Most pop songs of that ere would have done the typical G Em C D chords. Here they use G Bm C D, replacing the Em with Bm lends for those great harmonies you here, letting Paul sing G G F# while George stays on the same note D D D. Those Beatles harmonies never get old.

It was dated 1st Dec 1964 (I was 10 years old n 1 month then) this was no 1 in the top 40, Rolling Stones at no 2, Oh and coppers were on £700 per year! Happy days in the sixties...........
