@freshnaked I didn't like that ending. To me, it just seemed like a meaningless tragedy to have Jim die at the end. I almost preferred just to imagine that that ending really didn't exist because there was nothing to be gained or understood from watching Jim die. It just seemed gratuitous.
Frank's death was sad. The part where Jim makes his way home to find his parents committed suicide to escape the horror enveloping them and everyone else in Britain was sad, too.
@doubleKlutch Pretty much. Stop moaning. I fucking hate people that think too much into films. See the film, enjoy the film and then move on with your life. Christ.
Relax. I'm not picking apart the movie, I'm picking apart the comments. This movie is fantastic. I could care less whether they are zombies, mental patients, or pod-people from an invisible un-mentioned UFO.
However:
"Pretty much. Stop moaning. I fucking hate people that get all butt-hurt about youtube comments and moan without actually presenting something thought-provoking. Browse the site, enjoy the craziness and then move on with your life. Christ"
@doubleKlutch Dude, its a zombie movie. Get over it you fucking nerd and stop arguing about it. You can't reclassify these types of movies based on how they are infected. For fucks sake. So resident evil isn't a zombie movie? They are infected with the t-virus so its a t-virus movie?
@doubleKlutch Dude, its a zombie movie. Get over and stop arguing you fucking nerd. You can't reclassify movies based on how they're infected and act. And who said zombies are stupid and had to eat brains? They're are so many movies depicting zombies differently. Some slow, some can run, some have moderate intelligence, some are dumb.
@J7nate Nice double post. Get a bit excited there?
Too excited to read the part about me not talking about the movie? I never said anything about the movie, except that I love it. Yet you continue to rant about film?
I'm not a nerd. I'm a geek. Nerds are awkward and antisocial; they have communication issues and get bent out of shape when things don't go their way.
Hmmm, can I think of anybody here getting bent out of shape and ranting off topic?
@doubleKlutch besides the rude remarks, I think J7nate is right. Since zombies don't exist there is no evidence or proof of the exact traits a zombie has, you can't really differentiate zombies or an individual with a zombie-like disease. Like most monsters myths in human history, it is man-made so it is subject to speculation by man which may deal with changes along the way.
Personally, I think zombies were born as pop icons through Romero's 1968 NOTLD movie. And I think they were at their most powerful as a sociological metaphor about consumerism (70s).
But your right; that doesn't mean 'Zombie' is defined as 'always socially poignant'.
I retract.
Thanks for being polite.
PS: Google 'Haitian Voodoo Zombie' and check out real-life zombies. They seem to exist after all.
@TheTMVProject of course it's zombies just because they don't say it in the video dosen't mean that the blood puking, flesh ripping infected people are not zombies...
@TheTMVProject in other words they are zombies. they just want some sort of origionality. they still look act and walk and terrorize like a zombie. they just made a fresh note on how they came to be
@VirginOfRape yes they are in a zombie state but the virus fills them with rage and makes them just want to kill everyone opposed to eating ppls flesh like typical zombies. they explained it in the making of the movie
@TheTMVProject That's strange. I wonder why they waited for an actual human to show up before attacking. And I wonder why they attacked in groups occasionally. Did they just not feel the need to kill each other?
@XKing2 I remember seeing some video comic book or something like that, where this dude says they're attracted to the cologne, perfume, and soaps that people use.
Such awful luck for Frank, a tiny drop of blood landing DIRECTLY in his eye?! And he just happens to get infected literally a minute before soldiers arrive? Rotten luck. RIP Frank. :(
@jormaishere but still he would have inevitably died attempting to escape with hannah jim and salina i think it would have been sadder for him to have to see that
i know this scene was emotional but what made me laugh was that her dad got shot like a mothafucka, and after he hits the ground , his daughter is like dad? n she says it in a way that was like dad u okay?
it couldnt b better cause it was already perfect. This soundtrack is the most emotive of 28 days later OSTs, even compared to In The House In A Hearbeat because of the drama, the moment. Truly Joh Murphy's masterpiece. Mozart did good already, but lets be fair, Murphy deserves great things too.
Thy Father, Thy Son, and Thy holy Spirit, Havbe mercy on our souls when judgement day comes...Mary, Joseph..Forgive me for I have sinned...I am not worthy of being in your graces presence...-Amen. Dia duit ó Thuaisceart Éireann
this part is also in 28 Weeks later when don, the father kisses his wife after she was found, and becomes infected. this also leads to him killing her by digging his thumbs into her eye sockets. i felt so bad for her because she was tied down and could not move to defenf herself
So this is supposed to be from Mozart's Requiem in D Minor. I know that Requiem, but I don't know what part this is supposed to be from. I can't figure it out. Or was it just inspired by it somehow?
The reason everyone was crushed is because Frank was the leader, and father figure, to everyone in the group. He was the person everyone looked up to. He and his daughter's happiness together also gave the others a bit of hope.
Remember that quote from 1:20 on. You'd better love those you hold dear to you, and enjoy yourself while you can. 'Cause one day, none of it will be there.
When Frank died, all the other main characters were SO CRUSHED, their faces when they are driving to the mansion are just so empty. Poor Frank <3 R.I.P
i loved the transformation, when he turned evil i mean it was one of the most savage parts ive ever seen ina movie, and to make it even better this fucken sound track is just sweet
@Reazzurro90 I know!!! he reminded me of my dad & it was just great dat scene. d smoke and jim, selena, & hanana in d background as d soldier moves toward franks body! powerful... simply powerful....
Yeah. I'm glad because at least Frank was able to say goodbye to his daughter, tell her he loves her, etc, and mend the conflict. At least they could be separated in peace.

Not zombies. Nothing about them is zombie. In order of least important to most:
They aren't stupid (impulsive and wild, yes); don't need to eat brains.
They don't swarm; one is already dangerous.
They aren't undead; can be killed as easily as a human.
Most importantly: They don't carry any of the sociological metaphor of zombies: 'Idiots are weak alone, but dangerous in masses.'
What makes them zombies? Just the contagious bite and cannibalism? Is that all it takes to be a zombie?
doubleKlutch 6 months ago
@doubleKlutch So basicly you can have a cold and eat human and be called a zombie.
