export ist gut und solange ausländische kunden auf qualität und deutsche wertarbeit setzen und nicht billig scheisse made in china kaufen ist alles gut !
At 3:31 one can momentarily see the ER-200 train standing beside the Velaro RUS. The ER-200 was built in 1974, went into commercial operation in 1984, and was capable of achieving 200 km/h. Two trainsets have been built. Travel time from Moscow to Saint Petersburg took about 4 and a half hour. Now the trains are retired. It is a shame that Russia buys German trains instead of building its own. This is how Russia will be conquered: with foreign goods, not with tanks.
Amazing train. Too bad they didn't build a new line capable of 350km/h i.e. what Velaro technology allows in regular service (implemented in China and Spain). German technology ueber alles :)
The oil will not go below 40$ again. Ever. We have reached peak oil. From now on, the production rate will go down. And the demand will grow because of India and Chinas fantastic economic growth. We still need fuel, plastic, asphalt, gas and so on. Especially since the US is so slow to convert to cars with a smaller (normal) gas mileage. Not to mention slow to incorporate wind and solar energy. Siemens will have plenty to do over the next decade. Many national railways need to be replaced too.
I thought that only Siemens mobile phones do Oo

We'll see how many more of these trains Russia will buy once oil goes down back to 40 USD :-)

@kensai7gr You may as well ask Spain, Portugal and Ireland to do the same! ;-)
