In college at Tri-State University, but cruisin' thru the rainy rolling one way streets while visting Fort Wayne, IN and hearing this on local radio for the first time in 1976; man, I was hooked from hearing the squence of the stanky beats from 3:45 on...with that nasty but tasty whistle cuttin' in as only percussionist Ralph MacDonald can produce. It was one those must have cuts after hearing once!
My uncle had this on 45 back in 1976. Twenty two years after that,I ended up buying it on lp used in good condition. Plus,I'd like to thank the ones of the true Hip Hop culture for using this as a break beat.
If there was a list of all time break beat jams, this would be at the top of the list.....the latin influence is all over this record, and this is my all time favorite. And to think the first time I heard this record was at our block party on McDonough Street in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn back in the day!
@tljones9 good look bro...u know back in the day the boogie down/bronx river had this on lock with afrika bambatta and the revolution which i was blessed 2 b a part of...PEACE n CHICKENGREASE
That break after 3:45 .........sampled to death! Classic 70's jazzfunk.

For Real Sweetie. Loved Paterson too, my birth place and all that it represented in the 70s. Ralph made it happen for Eastside High.
