  • I just donated 5 dollars Canadian :-D

  • @syprix Thank you :)

  • What a muppet lol

  • lulz @ 18:55, but really i enjoyed your video

  • @Billy.... will you stop playing with stuff during the instructional video and pay attention please. it's kind of annoying. sorry bud.

  • @thegeekgroup i cant tell if the big guy is very strong or just fat XD but that kid. ima never trust him near a power tool!

  • you can also do that with a piece of angle Iron or the edge of a shop door

  • getting center on a round top - make a wood jig just like u done their - then cut a vee in the wood at the top - both boards - put your caps on the pipe - lay pipe in the vee - find something or almost the same height of center of the cap - u can move the marker in your hand and ajust it to get center - now hold your marker steady on the cap spin the pipe - u can mark a little big then get closer until you have dead center - center punch your cap so the drill bit won't crawl off center

  • hmm won't load stops half way

  • @plasmaninjaa have you see the update? Chris talked about moving forward in this project. meanwhile, there was a live stream video of them messing with winding the secondary. i imagine the 'official' video will be out soon :)

  • @thegeekgroup im going to assume thie project was abandoned? about 4 months later and no updates.

  • @TheOneLordOfWar We shot the latest episode in this yesterday. We got a new lab and had to move the studio. You fail at situational comprehension.

  • @TheOneLordOfWar trust me, this is continuing

  • soooo when do i get to see the next video in this series? =]

  • "Have you ever seen green gas coming from a Ni-Cd cell" - How is Billy still alive... and "That's why we don't leave you alone with power tools" is t-shirt material

  • 3 speed! pfff we have 6 speed! from the 80's man :)

  • properly there is a point in the cab where the inserted the plastic, that is the exact middle

  • To find centre of the caps, put the cap on it's side, get a piece of wood or similar that is about half the diameter of the cap (use several strips if needed, roll the cap while making a mark on the cap, it doesn't matter if it's not quite central, you'll at least have a small circle

Also, if your wood is twisted, just fix the corners that ar lowest, stand jig on bench so end boards are stable, then fix the rest of the screws, the base will be twisted, but the ends are flat and stable

  • I haven't checked the comments so I don't know if this was asked or suggested. Why don't you use the drill to help with the winding?

  • lathe

  • that 2/10 is made to go around a corner lol thats lowes lumber for ya lol

  • This video is a perfect reason why to use a circular saw for wood :P

  • (continued from other comment) hammer rod down pushing off the first cap put on. Flip unit over, wooden dowel down through the tube, tap with hammer, and the second cap comes off.

Meanwhile this solution alows you to use that power drill to turn the unit w/ variable speed. :)

  • how to get the caps off - build your wooden rack. Put a nut and washer on the end of the rod, slide end cap on. put a nut and washer on the inside, sandwhiching the cap in place. slide tube on. Slip second cap on. Washer, Nut. Put in wooden rack, but wait until its in place to put one side on. Now the unit is pinched on the threaded rod. Use the drill in the lowest setting on one end of the rod, and spin the rod, in the wood. When done, take second cap's nut and washer off, (continued)

  • can i use 28 AWG wire for my tesla coil?

  • @qwerty123102 only if it's a VERY tiny coil. 28awg is pretty small wire. You CAN use it, but it'll suck to wind.

  • @thegeekgroup i was thinking a coil about the size of the one your building...and im having trouble finding a good NST...ive been on ebay and what not and lost several bids on 15kv 30 mah NST transformers...any suggestions on where to find one realatively cheaply? mabye you guys could possibly spare one for a reasonable price?...anyways thanks for your time and i hope you get bak to me

  • I totally love this project :-)

  • LOL! MARCO!

  • @thegeekgroup I need some help with an invention I made, a company has taken interest in it and want to manufacture it with my permission, and also want to discuss royalties. I know absolutely nothing about that stuff, but I figured you guys are pretty used to it and perhaps could give me some advise? I'm sorry of this if the wrong place to ask for help but I don't know where else to turn.

  • @Forssa1 email us through the main website (just the info@ address) and we're happy to help you out.

  • R u a youtube partner? If not how are u able to post a 38 min video?

  • @HolySkitStation yes, we're a partner.

  • Great video. I recently wound 3600 turns by hand, and I will say that I will never do that again!
