I like both versions, but I think Kvarforth's voice suits the overall feel of the song. It's got more power and depth to it.

When you write, "Shining's interpretation ..." you're implying that Seigmen also interpreted this song. Didn't Seigmen write it, though? That alone gives it so much more meaning while Shining's is simply a homage to a famous band.
