I'm confused on what you mean after you do the first portion of the tutorial you then have to set the buttons on the residing ap..p in your case it would be cakewalk ill have a look for you and see what extra procedures you may have todo.. remember the second part is presets for reason

Hi great vid wondering if you can tell me how to get the nano pad working I keep getting a failed to open midi port I am using it with EnergyXt and it shows that it is finding it and I just cant save the scene's can u tell me what I am doing wrong...it is trigging pads in Energy I just cant save the notes I want it to play ? thanking you

i am already using a nanopad with the redrum and other machines it works fine now i am trying to use a nanokontrol 2 for the mixer do these 2 work together? i done what you said in your vid to see if i can get the kontrol working and i couldnt get it going when i try to write scene set it says midi port not found i have gone over it a few times and still the same problem i am clearly doing something wrong! any help will be greatly appreciated thanks hypnotic!

@OUWATZAHLE08 i cant really tell you 100% yes cause i dont use FLstudio this is for reason but ill assume if you know what the key number is for each key from the korg programmer then as long as it sets it shouldnt be a problem. ill search for relevant videos for you "youtube.com/watch?v=eI5SSyIkN­UU"

@fusegate03 as far as ive found you just have to set 2 setups in the options/ preferences/ Control surfaces section and make sure the midi channel is set 1-2 but im sure the usb function will auto do this when you do search for each, let the readers know what you found will help US all loads

I want it so that I hit the button once it should be lite up on reason and the kong Kontrol and hit it once again to turn off. I shouldn't have to hit it twice to mute, then twice to unmute. This blows...lol. I've tried everything please help! Thanks. If you don't fully understand me, I will post a video of whats happening.

@MrJoestueber a video would be nice for those also having same issue but as i set it up it will light up on the same time as the control sets before you use this setup it wouldnt light up at all due to it being a non toggle button.. yeah i some what understand but id rather be 100% sure of your issue before i try to give you a fix. sorry i didnt reply sooner i only get online after 7pm for few hrs due to work.

Hi, I got my Korg Kontrol to connect to Reason. All the buttons and faders work. I installed the kong Kontrol so I could set the mute/solo buttons to toggle so the lights would stay on. I did all this and the buttons stay illuminated but when I want to unmute, I have to double click all the buttons to turn on and to turn off. I want the lights to synchronize with the lights on the mixer on Reason.

I couldn't figure out how to do it! It's not like the padkontrol which still took me a while, I couldn't get reason to find it, and I couldn't get the proper midi settings on the editor to work even though I followed the OFFICIAL nanokontrol INSTRUCTIONS! You did a better job than they did! Thank you so much! It is so awesome I can use like 30 different possible control devices with the various effects and programs! NICE!

Hey Man, I got a Korg Nano Key (you know, the little piano), nothing else.

I works fine on Reason 4. EXCEPT for the REDRUM, where, whenever I hit a key, it' s gonna make the "mute" button light up, on top of the column of the percussion I chose, instead of playing it. Do you know why it does that by any chance?? I could use the "pattern" thing but it 's really inconvenient to make a beat!. Thks

@BenoitMoget i bought that and then decided it wasnt enough reason 4 doesnt have good enough midi setup for that piano for an extra 50 bucks or so id advise getting a keyboard from bestbuy $149 i think it was or cheaper. ill try to look in to this for you but if you set the right option in the devices it should play fine. gimmie a few day to check it out

@weaselidiotu unfortunately you have to remap of copy and paste into the p remade one i did i will have to look into Reason 5 to see if they changed this IE a mapping chart that can be imported

Do you know if it is possible to use NanoKnotrol along with another MIDI controller? the thing is that I have a MIDI keyboard/Interface (Line 6 POD Studio KB37), but it has only four knobs and I'm looking for something that works as a complement.

What I'm tryng to accomplish is this: use a Reaason device like Malmstrom with my keyboard and set the parameters to both my keyboard knobs and the other device (the nanokontrol) so I can control all of them with the combined knobs. thnx

@evillano The video shows the fix for one device just cross it over to the other device IE first off see if the knobs on the Line 6 POD Studio KB37 in reason allow you to right click auto set that knob (reason) and when you rotate the knob on Line 6 POD Studio KB37 does it recognize? and if it does is it working as a knob and not a toggle switch etc etc. if its not recognized as a knob then you will have to use the kontrol editor and flash the Line 6 POD Studio KB37 with the new ref.

I will look deeper into your device for setup IN reason but cause i dont OWN one you have to make sure its reacting the way you want it to.

From what i gained on the Nano controller is this, inside reason you may only set one the scene items (lets say the slider 1) to one item of Reason application device (lets say mixer slider 1 on a 14:2 mixer). the files i gave sets up the mixer 14:2 perfect for the nano controller. other then that please place a vid of what your trying to do and showing your error and if i cant figure it out im sure one of our dedicated fans can help as well

the nanokonrol seems to already be mapped to certain locations (i.e. slider 4 to level 1 on mixer) and when i try to map it to a different location, both events change!

i have no idea how to assign each control to one function only.

I´ve been watching all kind of videos on youtube and non of them respond to my question. how does it work with reason4?!?. i tried to set the mmc command buttons, but when i start reason and PLAY, it doesn´t work.
