  • what's with the offside cylinder drain cock? was it stuck open?

  • @redhouseguitar Yes, it was stuck open. 43106 was in a very run-down condition at the time. After this run, 43106 didn't steam again until August 2009.

  • Hi shez5690,

I was just wondering wether you knew if No:43106 was even mainline certified? Great video

  • Hi, yes 43106 was main line certified in the early 1980's.

It ran a few times on the main line between 1980 and 1983, on its own and double-heading with 80079 and 7812 Erlestoke Manor.

Thanks very much for your comment.

  • Thanks

  • Great Video, 5 Stars!

  • Thanks very much for sharing that with us.

I'm really looking forward to seeing 43106 back in steam again.

I can remember the Ivatt 4mt's working the old M&GN in Norfolk prior to its demise in 1959. For that reason I have a particular fondness for the class, my wish being that someday 43106 will return briefly to the region where she first entered service. Many thanks :-)

  • cool i like the halls and all the ivatts 43106 rocks it'll be good to see her return to steam either this year or next but anyway i hope to be getting a 00-gauge replica of 43106 soon cool vid
