@Mortello The players make 57%, they were willing to decrease to 53%, the owners wanted more. Then, the owners wanted to eliminate the mid-level exception which basically is what middle class players make a living on. So, if your not a superstar and your an average player who is a role player. You would have to literally take crumbs or have no spot in the NBA.

The owners were clearly wrong. They hand out awful contracts and wanted to blame players for it. Both sides won, players more so.

Crumbs is guys getting 1 million. So, for example: If I was a top star in the league, I suffer a bad injury, teams are scared on signing me, Instead of me making something within the realm of 5 million, I would only make 1 million or less than that.

If your not a star, you can't support your family basically. Thankfully, the players won on that one.

@Mortello Seriously This is a league where guys have to SPEND money, 1 million isn't going to cover a house, car, food, taxes, other things. When a guy gets traded, he has to then spend more money on rent AND maintain a house, car, taxes, food, etc.

There is a different level of salary on a business level. If you deserve 5 million, you shouldn't settle for 1 million. That goes for anything.

I've been watching European basketball, it's very good and I care more about them than any NBA team right now.

Derrick Fisher can't even seem to articulate the importance ( so there is none) of fans to the NBA players and Teams. The NBA has a THUG problem the way Artest, Bynum, & Odom ended the Mav's series is disgusting. To send Phil out like that should have them all traded, they lost me as a Lakers fan.
