As a Democrat, I had respect for Dr. Paul. He is a Gentleman and presents himself with class & dignity. I lost that respect for Dr. Paul when I learned he, as an intern, watched a baby be cut from his/her mothers' belly, put in a bucket on the floor and put in a corner to die while they all watched. As a Canadian wanted to have the States of Washington and Oregon and the Province of British Columbia to become the independent Republic of Cascadia, I think that Texas has every right to break away from the Union, because like the Pacific Northwest, Texas has a such a distinct culture that you can't really compare it to any other state. The State of Texas, because of its size agreed to join the Union under the agreement they could split into 3 separate states if Texas was not properly represented in the US Federal govt.
TEXAS, to this day was admitted to the Union of States called the United States accepted this accord and if Texas doesnot agree can split into 3 separate geographic groups thus adding 2 more States to the Union. Even after the CW, seccession is up to Texas.

Texas could be a prosporous single nation. Texas is the same size as france. they have oil, much farmland and cattle, at least 4 or 5 big cities, several hundred miles of coastline, the list goes on that would be tight for texas to seceed

Think of all the jobs that would end as soon as their last check comes from the federal governement. Middle class and rich people are against governement spending unless it is for them. As a Democrat, I had respect for Dr. Paul. He is a Gentleman and presents himself with class & dignity. I lost that respect for Dr. Paul when I learned he, as an intern, watched a baby be cut from his/her mothers' belly, put in a bucket on the floor and put in a corner to die while they all watched. What prevented him from taking the baby out of that bucket and walking a few steps over to the Intensive Care Unit and saving it? He's lost my respect and will NEVER be President anyways.

As a Canadian wanted to have the States of Washington and Oregon and the Province of British Columbia to become the independent Republic of Cascadia, I think that Texas has every right to break away from the Union, because like the Pacific Northwest, Texas has a such a distinct culture that you can't really compare it to any other state. I wouldn't be surprised if Texas is considered the Union's backward state

TEXAS, to this day was admitted to the Union of States called the United States accepted this accord and if Texas doesnot agree can split into 3 separate geographic groups thus adding 2 more States to the Union. Even after the CW, seccession is up to Texas.

Government has no resources to give to anyone. It must confiscate resources from the people and direct their use for its own purposes. Rights, authority, and property are granted to the government by The People. Not the other way around. Most Federal taxation is for unconstitutional purposes (see Federalist 41). Hamilton's opinion on the bank was penned AFTER ratification and "U.S. v Butler" is not a valid vehicle for amendment. The Feds are only giving the States back their own money!

How could the might of the U.S. military hold its own borders with a currency that is on the verge of being worthless? Military would not break up. All traitors would be shot on the spot. The military is structured so all the orders come from the pentagon. Most of those troops come from all over america. So they would not be loyal to texas. NOt to mention that we already have 130 F-22 doen and 2000 F-35 on there way. THey are made in Marietta, Georgia. owned!

I'm enjoying yall's parleying. Sorry 29 Palms Marine Corp Base in CA is largest in US. I'm a native Texan Marine & was stationed there in 1970. An AF buddy from Ca bet me Ft. Hood was bigger. While we are at it, would you mind stepping away from the nativist aspect of the old civil war? If Texas left the union, I assure you other states would follow. Would the south? Sure. But so would Montana, Idaho, New Hampshire, Vermont, Alaska, (Oregon and California?) and possibly others. The division of states is no longer north and south, but freedom vs. authority, left vs. right (if you believe those sides exist), and high tax vs. little to no tax.

Oregon is way more left then cali. They would side, with us. We will most likely side with the current administration. The white house has millions of troops. We would send to texas. Maybe a few states would side with you but you won't time to build up an army to counter rest of us.

I work for a non union company, and I get 4 FAT profit sharing checks a year for my hard work. If we were unionized, well, that would be eaten up by them. Also, unions are VERY ULTRA anti-democratic. You vote the way they want you to vote, or else they will see to it you don't have a job.
The mob mentality brought upon by unions only serves as a wedge between mgt and personel. It DESTROYS productivity, and companies.

I have no interest in killing anyone for any reason, but you better damn well believe that of all the states in the union to threaten violence against, Texas is quite possibly the worst choice ANYONE could make.
EVERYONE regardless of political affiliation is armed, and I don't mean with just revolvers and shotguns. AR-15's and AK clones are just bread and butter to the average Texan.
While we Texans do not condone violence, do not think for one second we wont defend ourselves.
