Ovechkin will never be a Crosby. Ovechkin doesn't make every guy on his line a weapon. Crosby turns guys like Malone and Armstrong into goal scorers just because he does all the work and they can stand in the blue paint with their stick on the ice. I'm no pens fan but Crosby is amazing. Sidney Crosby is an excellent two way player as well... Crosby is the total package.

It's not like teams have a certain predetermined number of goals that just have to be scored by someone each year. He might get the puck more often than other players but given his talent that would happen on any team. Hell, he'd probably have even more if he was playing with a Joe Thornton or Marc Savard type player, though as mentioned above Nicklas Backstrom looks to become his elite play making center for the future.
