does it really take that much voltage to keep high clocks stayable on the 5770? oced my GTX460 from 700/1400/800 with stock voltage (0,975V) to 850/1700/1025 (1,00V) and its very stayable. Higher voltage = higher GPU temp but even if your gpu temp is about 50°C under load the lifetime is rediuced by voltage increase

What does core voltage increasing do? I haven't put mine up. I overclocked the Core speed to 915 MHz and the memory to 1270. I was too scared to mess arround with the core voltage because I could fuck up. I ain't watercooled though.. I've got air cooler. Just to keep my warrenty. I already returned my crappy HD5770 twice so for the sake of making sure I didn't install water cooling. Could I get the Core Voltage up or will I than fuck up?

i dont really recommend using watercooling . it will void your warrenty .

u are an idiot wat are u trying to to burn out ur gpu idiot ur pumping too much voltage i can already get 1000 core clock without the maxed out voltage o.O air cooled oem fan cooler. anyways overclock ur mem to 1425 and ur core to 1000 and ur voltage to 1250 you are going to get better result and lees risk also hope u learn noob overclocker.

just overclocked mine to 1.1ghz it gets hot like a mo fo though but only did it to see how far i can go you really dont seem much gain.most games use the cpu to get the most out of it

oh yeah how much can you overclock your 9500 mine is 2.6 ghz then its spazzes out

@jfarrar1982 dude i get quite a bit of gains especially in cod games....but i end up gettin about 8 - 10 fps gains ....................btw my system is pretty cheap...................i have a shitty motherboard (stock gateway) a phenom 9500 ,a 300 w power supply and only 2 gigs ram ddr2 .....get 62 fps at 1680x 1050 with oc 5770 on cod 4.cool huh.............

oh yea how do you oc you cpu cuz my attempts havent worked.....also can you tell me if you hit 2.6 with stck heat sink

the gpu renders the game infomation into readable data otherwise we would not need a cpu to play games like a console

for around 17 quid

Do you have a MSI card or did you flash yours? What are your temps, idle, gameload and maybe furmark. Lastly, doesnt afterburner collide with Catalyst controlcenter, will I have to uninstall it?

nope i have the sapphire model and i did not flash anything

idle the temps are at 35-40

at the max that i will over clock it to the temps are around 80c in gaming

and i use it with ccc and it seems fine

as the graphic card is kinda new it best to wait till some better drivers come out

the new 10.2 seems to be ok,and the heat sinks are a must to get this overclock as you could fry a egg on the little sods and was causing it to bsod

with them on!! no probs!!
