They make lights for submersion in ponds and fountains. It would be safer to just buy one and use that in case any water leaks. That setup could kill you!!!

Yeah an LED lamp would be best. Minimal to nonexistant heat with one of those.

That is sweet. I've been thinking of making a new fountain. The last one I made was just out of cheap materials. I wasn't confident it would really work. It did and I'm ready for an upgrade now. I probably won't deal with the lighting though.
