  • E STRING TUNED DOWN TO B????????????

  • Hey brotha what are your settings on the roadster?? Thanks man!!

  • 13 people dont "bat shit crazy"

  • WELCOME TO MONDAY NIGHT RAW!!!!

  • im gonna agree with this guy above and say your amp gave me a serious hard on

  • k im getting a bass in a month and i wonna know some things: Do the strings make the sound different or what? What are the purpose of pickups, what do they do? And thats basicly it for questions, and dont call me stupid, cuz i have never played an instument befor, besides months of rock band.

  • Awesome!!!"

  • Slipknot's always used drop d and drop c. Mudvayne and Hellyeah use B tuning. B tuning is standard for 7 string. Good shit and nice rig

  • @XXXBravehearTXXXX Slipknot always uses drop-b and drop-a i would know cuz ima absolute die-hard slipknot fan and guitarist

  • @MaggotMatt7 I've always been a die hard fan of Slipknot, but I'm telling you just because not just them, but most bands use different tunings for recording and playing live. That's always been a golden rule in the music game. I'm not gonna waste my time arguing with you.

  • sounds so badass, nice improvising

  • really good dude

  • Hey man do you have fret buzz in that tuning?

I'd like to buy a les paul studio, to tune in drop A. Would you recommend it?

  • nice cover, what tuning is this?

  • Two epic amp settle there what music is suitable for Marshall and Mesa boogie amps?

  • great cover

  • Comment removed

  • wow thats one nice set of amps u got there and also the cover made the guitar scream

  • AWESOME!

  • i don't hunderstand why haven't you use the Marshall... which is a marshall <3.

i Joke , your cover is so perfect your guitar ,so cute and the sound so delicious x)

  • @jaybiiii1 guess why: marshalls suck donkey balls compared to rectifiers.

  • the tuninig for this song is B (one full step down and then another half step or tune to half step then go a full step down) ...i can play this song ...i bought the book and thats the tuning it says...please supermushy i would love to see the videos of you playing on here...MU HAHAHAA

  • dude, shouldnt u stop playing child sized guitars and get a adult guitar? just joking damn ur huge!(in a good no homo way) good cover!

  • i dont understand why everyone plays this in drop tuning. it is MUCH easier to play in B Standard, not Drop B. It is also how Nickelback actually tunes for this song. you played it well, but pretty much every cover i see of this song people are playing in drop tuning, which just makes the little tag riff much more inconvenient.

  • @dirtywizard wrong they use 7 strings in standard tuning FACT !

  • @bigbadgsy ........so your saying they play in B standard ( the tuning a 7 string guitar would be in), confirming what i said? makes sense i guess...........even though they play six strings live. good work. like i said, i wasnt knocking him, its obviously possible to play it in drop b, i was merely suggesting that it is easier and more convenient to play it in B standard.

  • @dirtywizard they change guitars at least 5 times a set and as I have said check out Narc85's vid of them live in Perth 2009 put on hd and pause at 35 secs and count the tuners : )

  • @bigbadgsy

Uh....no. they dont. Nickelback does NOT use a seven string to play this song. They all endorse Paul reed Smith and Gibson Les Pauls......all 6 string may I add. I have seen Nickelback live several times and look at the millions of photo's of them you never see a seven string. When I refer to reading music by the way I do not mean "tab"....I mean actual sheet music. (which is why guys who understand actual sharp and flat all know my previous statement is true B/C & E/F)

  • @bigdaddyjive go on Narc85's vid of them in Perth 2009 stop at 35secs and then count the tuners ! i'll expect an apology shortly : ) Just to note too I have seen them 4 times live too including being in the Rockstar Pit which is actually part of the stage so I could see their guitars really quite well : ) oh and they don't just use Gibson LP's and PRS they use Dean too and V's : )

  • @bigdaddyjive look on google images. he plays plenty of 7-strings. Its his black and grey dean looking guitar. he plays the same guitar at all times for this song

  • @bigdaddyjive its true. its just a song that almost sounds better on a 7 string. live they definatly use 6 stings in drop c or d duning.

  • @bigbadgsy

Ok so there is one video of them on the internet with a 7 from Austrailia...The fact remains that they are not KNOWN for them like Korn, or Unearth...I can show you a hundred videos of them with that song on 6strings (much like every time I have seen them live)...But - the other fact (that you didn't reply to) is there is no sharp or flat between B/C or E/F...again there is no F flat for example. SO, don't get all hung up on the tunings. Just play the notes with the correct tone.

  • @bigbadgsy your half correct. they play a 7-string, but the other strings are in drop b.

  • @bigbadgsy trueee!!

  • nice job man, what guage strings are you using

  • @WakeboardMonster

    10 through 60

  • @bigdaddyjive 60 'o_O wow

  • love the guitar!! pretty much slash's LP for appetite right? 59 LP look, alinco 2 hummers i think? etc etc. i want it!!! =D

  • AWSOME! kewl cover and sick guitar, i been trying to get a les paul standard just recently...

  • why does that guitar look so small??

  • @kouradoman because I am 6' 8in

  • Chad Kroeger said it was drop b himself in an interview for mtv.

So, if he says its drop b then its drop b cased closed.

  • BEST COVER EVAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice job!

  • dude is that a 59?

  • @phen0min0n no, just a very nice matte finish burst. its about 5yrs old

  • q porqueria! ajajja ntc jejejej

  • bad ass

  • You still got it T!!!!!!!!!!!!! You rock!!!!!

  • sorry man The tuning is half a step down from C or half a step up from B. At least that s what its says in the book.

  • @cjhobelman

you need to learn your tunings....a half step down from C is B

  • @bigdaddyjive no a half step down from c is c flat or b sharp

  • @supermushy NO......there is actually no such thing as "C flat" ...it is B. Do you even read music?...I'm not talking about "TAB" you found on the internet....I mean real music. Do you read it? If so, you would know that there is just a half step between B and C....therefore sharp and flat do not apply to it. Just like there is no F flat or no E Sharp.......research it and get your facts right.

  • @bigdaddyjive would also like to point out the FACT this tune is in NO drop tuning at all ! It is played on a 7 string in standard tuning no need to take my word for it look on Narc85's videos on here for Burn It To The Ground and put it in HD then pause it at 35 secs and count the tuners ! Tab books are not made by the band in any way they are made by people like us listening and trying to pick out the song same as we all do, so trust yourselves and/or watch live vids of the band :) have fun !

  • @supermushy lol dude u must be on crack to think there is such thing as c flat.......if u want proof, go look at a piano

  • aww dud u gotta teach me...i love this song and ur vid is SICK!!!!!

  • awsome!!!!

  • that's awesome :) its like you playing wid a toy.. 5*

  • crisp as hell! keep jamin bro!!

i think this might be my second favorite! ..you know your hendrix number is my fave!!

  • Yeah don't do your shit cause you fucked up the whole song.

  • Yeah don't do your shit cause you fucked up the whole song.

  • wow very good man

  • damn dude that was sick very clean

  • I like the twist you made on the song man was pretty epic i must say hard to think you did this over a year ago :O i wacthed it the first time on my old account

  • The guitar?? Thats one fucking awesome guitar u got there!

Aint the guitar the Slash Appetite for destruction guitar? :D

  • Thanks. And no, they are not Seymour Duncan. They are the stock "Burstbucker Pro" pickups from Gibson. Believe me, they do not need replaced. They are awesome. Also, I get a bit sick of all these tuning questions. Its in Drop B period. I have been playing guitar twice as long as most of these guys have been alive that are commentating.

  • @bigdaddyjive

    hhhaahaa wellsaid ..

  • the tuning is right, dono why ppl are saying otherwise! great vid tho, love your variation, breaks up the song from being so repeatative. but personally i like the original solo beat, just personal preference.

guitar is awesome, thats exactly what i dream of upgrading to, with a slightly different paint job. Gout got seymour duncans in there ey?

  • ether your tall like me or the les paul is small

  • i just came lmao

  • great!

  • like how you added in your own licks and stuff!

  • i swear older people get into the song so much more then teenagers when playing an instrument, and im a teenager myself :D

  • That was rad man..which amp are you using? Mesa or the Marshall

  • awsome set-up

  • good god....i love you....i totally shiver...amazing, thx....:D

  • awesome job man!

  • very very good man

  • jad626: the Les Paul is NOT tiny, therefore...

  • you must be giant........... that les paul looks tiny

  • i love this song :) and this cover is great :) i see this video really often.

  • UR SOOO AMAZING. DUDE U ROCKKKK!!! =D

  • Thanks! I appreciate everyone's support!!

  • are u kidding??? he's like rite on the awesome track!! are u deaf??

  • Brilliant playing

  • tune that shit up brother!

  • his playing is off on the main part. both intro and main are played around the 10th and 12th frets. Other than that, great cover.

  • The original song is Drop D, half a step down. He's in Drop B... go figure, use your ears not your eyes.

  • FUCKIN' AMAZING!!!!! O_O

  • i may have just jizzed my pants at your amp

  • i play this in B standard, otherwise, great cover! :)

  • Niiiice a video i'd actually give props to cover very excelent.

  • nice head movement .

  • O_O

  • good

  • Awsome!

  • he obviously gave god a handy. haha good work dude epic playing.

  • thats sick

  • did you get a tab from a website or just figure it out by ear, and if a tab can you tell me from where?

  • your amazong man, i love the sound of your guitar and amp, GREAT!!

  • sorry mate tuning way off its drop D flat or other know as drop C sharpe but ill rate this five because u got skill keep up the good work

  • @CormacTunstead, Uhhhhhhh NO its not. Brop "B" is correct. Listen to the open "E" in the song.....play in the open positions......watch a live performance of the band. It is Brop "B" to my exact tuning. No one is playing anything in a "Drop C#".....

  • Awesome cover this, really is.

hehe i like it when people try and prove creators of the videos wrong. The term EPIC FAIL comes to mind lol

Dont mark this as spam, bt av u seen my keytar cover of this?

  • it is in drop b, but about your drop c comment, godsmack plays in drop c

  • Actualy on Nickelbacks earlier records they have used Drop D, Drop C Even Eb

They use quite a few different tunings...

I dunno if that was helpful but thanks for readin' anywayz ^^

  • @bigdaddyjive i have to agree with him dude its Drop C not Drop B

  • @ATSxHaTxTrIcKx the song is in drop B tuning no doubt, there is a guy on here who plays the song perfectly on his 7 string where the lowest string is standard tuned to B

  • @bigdaddyjive only band I know who play drop C# is Paramore : ) and you are right the song is in drop B no doubts !

  • @bigdaddyjive wrong its played on a 7 string in standard tuning FACT ! And Disturbed and Paramore both do several songs in Drop C# particularly Disturbed and this is fact from Dan Donnegan himself on the special edition Asylum album on the Dissected section where Dan and John show how to play some of there more famous riffs, cheers : )

  • @bigdaddyjive actually, live - they use 7 strings, but drop B works too

  • on the dvd he says drop d full step down

  • It's drop B CormacTunstead the first low note is lower than C... the first power chord in the chorus matches the B open power chord

  • if you look how there guitarist plays, its in drop b

look for a different tab or do some reserch

  • @CormacTunstead haha he is right it is drop B .... even in the official tabs...

  • @CormacTunstead you can hear that it's way lower then C#

  • @CormacTunstead drop d u gotta be kidding me dude how long have u been playing for u must be 12 yo or something its drop b for sure

  • your awsome man you got me to sub!

  • amazing cover, i would like to play this song but my guitar never stays in drop b for long :S

  • u need thicker strings ;-) or tune it over and over till it breaks in drop B

  • It looks like the consensus agrees...practice do make perfect...Don't sweat the band deal. The best audience you have is yourself and your son...Let hime take the music past where he found it. You are it with a bullet......

  • Well its been worth it!

  • i play the verse like this

    B- 0-0-0h10h12-0-0-0h10h12-0-0-0h10h12-17p15p0-17p15h17

  • cwl

  • hi i play guitar and was wondering how much the wah pedal was ?

  • Those origonal Dunlops are about $80.

  • what gauge strings are you using for Drop B that doesn't give you sludgy strings?

  • On a Les Paul you can get away with 10-52 (Earnie Ball). If your guitar has a trem it can be really tuff.....If you are staying in a drop B or ever go any lower get a 7 string.

  • Oh, really? I'll have to try those out. I play with .011 GHX(?) Boomers on mine.

  • Superior guitarmanship!!!! love the way you wind out on the Les and make it look effortless, I am impressed!

  • do that was awesome.......

  • nice.. very nice..
