You don't need adapters nor DoF, you need to shoot at 24fps and thats all.
When motion pictures are shot, they use several lenses and apertures.. NOw we have a crazy fiver on YT and on the web of people going crazy spending lots of money on adapters... If you want DoF, zoom the lens and compose the shot by moving the camera.
By the way your video has a bad render. It has resampling on every frame.. double image. Looks like you did not match the editor with the footage's frame rate.
@girotube you have no idea what you are talking about trying to soun all smart and sn shit.... his footage first of all is all of cars passing by while he is zoomed... he didnt even try to pan or focus or try different angles...
Great shots com from the person behind the camera... and his color correction is all off anyway. people be thinking the camera is the one who gets all the great shots, NO, the person behind does, the camera just captures
@L0zer797 Listen haughty head, before you trash like this, go do some research on whom you gonna trash about.. I have this camera and U don't have a CLUE what I said on the post. You sond like the girlfriend.
SO tell Him to sell this camera and get a FLIP, right.. I mean! its the person behind right.
Listen go by your business and don't ridicule yourself talking without facts or know how.
You wanna keep it up? let me know.! I'm all for idiots replies like yours.
@L0zer797 IF you don't know what Resampled Images are or what Render is hold your peace and act more mature. If you pause the video while those cars are pasing by fast you will see the double image trails.. A tale sign of misuse of the video editor. Obviousely U had no clue of my tips I gave on the commet and saw them as I'm "all that and %^# " like you said.
I think I heard a car crash.. :) If you PAY attention you can see my videos on the right side of your screen LOL
You don't need a 35mm lens adapter in order to achieve a film look. You just need one to achieve maximum depth of field. Experiment with some of your Scene File settings and trying out different aperture exposure and focal length. The best way to achieve the look you want is to fully understand what each settings does to effect the look, and then from there you will be able to tweak it to your liking. Hope that helps.
The best way to get a film-look with this camera would be to open up the aperature all the way (iris), use the neutral density (ND) filter to compensate for exposure, and use a long focal lens length (e.g. zoom all the way in)!
@lvlik9 well first the shuter needs to be *2over what fps is so if you are working in 24fps it would be 48 for for normal movment...but if you film something fast you need to up the shuter...like 1/60 or I'll see for you
this video can look like a movie if you be used widescreen

Guys with all respect.
I have been in the film industry for over sixteen years.
In that time I have seen many things come and go.
The 35mm DOF adapters are not worth the price they charge.
You are better to spend your money on better color correction software.
I have worked with 2K and 4K cameras and even with them you have to color correct.
If you do get a 35mm DOF filter get a cheap one and color correct the footage.
Large studios like sony etc. do color correction and not DOF.
Peace.

@timm2020 Thanks for the tips. What 35mm DOF adapters do you suggest?
