This series was great but weird. No clear logical structure, every episode a diferent adventure, some sci-fi, some magical, some folklore, some undiscribable. But still all very good.
I think I saw this episode like once or twice when it was on YTV, I was like 7 when I saw this episode. I specifically recall the little toddler in that episode kinda bothered me.
Everyone else's comments about Bill's voice are interesting; I've been a very audible-oriented person even since childhood, and the main reason I liked this show so much when I was little was because I *loved* almost all the voices. Still do.
I know what's wrong with Bill's singing voice, he's in a tenor denial. If ever he's willing to sing an octave lower, maybe it wouldn't sound so god awful.
Of course, the more I think about it, his regular speaking voice is a problem in itself. When I first watched Rupert years ago, I thought that Bill was 20 year old midget.
@jconifer7 Yeah, I always thought it was weird that he has such a deep voice in comparison to Rupert's. I think Torquil Campbell was in his late-teens to early-twenties when he voiced Bill.
@Nessarose1985 No offense to Torquil, but I think Bill would have been a better character if he had more of a child voice like Rupert. And he was near college age around the time the show was in production, since he was born in 1972 and had to have been 18 during the first season.

Ah, the first episode of Rupert I ever saw.
