  • Where did you manage to buy this?

  • great in-depth review. Very informative

  • the good old days of nintendo... still gives me tears at the excitement it brought... lol. modern stuff just feels so unoriginal and mainstream already... i yawn at the next blockbuster being released- well most of the time.

  • Cult Disclaimer: Not really neccecary, it isn't.

  • i noticed your famicom was loaded with ads and depliants...luck you...every boxed famicom i saw on ebay only contained the instructions sheets:(

  • it took you more than 10 minutes to show the actual console. who cares about paper ads and instructiion booklets?

  • this should be a newer famicom...maybe from 1986-87...seeing that METROID depliant/ad:)

  • you fucking suck at reviewing concoles

you should redo the review it really sucked

and didnt learn much from it

  • Dear Bibleteen,

Will the sega genesis model 1 work for the famicom? i saw a video on youtube that it worked on the super famicom, so do you know if it'll work for the original famicom? i have model 1602 on my sega genesis model 1 ac adapter.

  • using a nes power adaptor in a famicom system will blow the fuse inside your famicom. using a nes adaptor(which is ac) on a famicom system(uses dc), is retarted. laughing at anyone who does this. lmfao.

  • i find that using an ac adapter with switches for adjusting the voltage and polarity is fine for using the famicom

and i live in the uk where the the voltage is 230 v

  • Good point on the AC Adapter. because the U.S. uses 120v, by using one of those on a fami it will fry it for sure. Same thing with the fami ac, gotta make sure that you have a converter for it or you'll pop the ac adapter for that. On to part 3!

  • the famicom power adapter does not use ac power, it uses dc, so ya...

  • Whats the keyboard for? Does it work like an actual computer?

  • Hi!

The keyboard was for the Family Basic cartridge that one can use to write their own game programs on. It was also used for the Famicom Data Recorder, which used blank standard audio cassettes to save data for games such as Excitebike and Mach Rider. The Famicom Data Recorder almost became obsolete after the Famicom Disk System was released, but it can still be used to save data for some cartridge-based games.

  • its for the family basic its a software for the famicom

  • I heard you can use a Genesis model 1 AC adapter on a Famicom and it will work.

  • nindeo!!!! yah hoooooo i love nintdo i am frome canada thats my frest game system i ever gamed on wen i was 3

  • nintendo was richt to not release the japanese version of smb2 in the us,eu,cuzz i have that game on my gba(the nes classic series) and it gets boring becouse once game over you got to start that world all over aagain, wich is a pain in the ass since those levels are enormousely hard!!!

  • Hi johneymute,

I approved of your comment, since it only has one mildly obscene word in it. But the next time you leave a comment on my channel or one of my videos, try not to use obscene language in your comment. I'm not trying to be mean, but my channel is Christian themed. I hope you understand.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • Have you tried other AC adapter used same Volts?

  • Hi!

I have not used any other AC adapter for my Famicom, and I'm a little afraid to use a different AC adapter. The reason why is that the NES AC adapter uses a different voltage as opposed to the Famicom AC adapter.

I have heard that an NES can use a Famicom AC adapter, but that is just what I heard, so I'm not sure.

But I do know that you should never use an NES AC adapter with a Famicom, because it can short out the Famicom's motherboard.

    Thanks for the comment!
