@DaveWollenberg His vision still needed correction; he switched to contact lens' for awhile; I didn't realize how pretty his eyes were until I saw vids from this era. Wow, I'd love those eyelashes LOL
Single Man was a very underated album that came in 1978 when Disco was at a fever pitch. There are many fine songs on this album, but Part Time Love is more or less the most memorable of the lot. Return to Paradise is a winner as well as Shine on Through. Song for guy goes without saying, but I have always been partial to Georgia which I think is a stunningly good song.
@SaturnTrack Interesting album. New group, new style, new inspiration and _a lot_ of fine tunes. My favourites include the quietly emotional "Shine on Through", the very melodic "Shooting Star", more emotions in "It Ain't Gonna Be Easy" and the uptempo drama of "Madness" (Tim Renwick's guitar play on both are memorable).
@zelator90004 Actually, "Song For Guy" (which was also on the album) was a major hit in the U.K., reaching at #6 on the charts. But you're right when you say that "Part-Time Love" was the only hit in the United States. "Song For Guy" was not as popular in the U.S. as it was in the U.K.
I love all Elton's song !!!!!!!!!

An underrated gem from Elton John! Elton collaborated with Tom Osborne here. Peaked on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in December 1978!
Bravo, Sir Elton!

Did Sir Elton still NEED his glasses back then? He hit #22 in Billboard, 12-16-78. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

This and "I Don't Care" are the best songs from the album, along with "Song For Guy".

@SaturnTrack I would beg the differ, but to me at least this album is my top or top 3 of Eltons.
