I squatted in an empty preschool by the oliver train yard in the 9th for a month. there was 22 of us and 10 dogs. Loved it. best times of my life. we'd get drunk and sing Tom Waits songs.

If i'm correct louie armstrong was in the ninth ward for firing off his daddys pistol. Really i believe this title is kinda a notion about wishing he could have been childhood friends with louie armstrong. and played with him. im not sure on this at all, all i know is that louie did go to jail when he was young for firing off his daddys pistol in the streets

@turbogrammy Gotta forgive the pronunciations in favor of the love. God I miss New Orleans. My wife doesn't feel the city like I do, so I'm not pushing the matter (happy wife and all)... but lord knows I long to sit on the river and know I'm home.

@turbogrammy When I went to New Orleans last, I must have heard the locals pronounce the name of the city about six different ways. Being from Seattle, a city where the locals have virtually no accent, I though this was awesome. Pretty sure I did hear one woman say Nawlin's, but I can't recall off the top of my head.
