  • @avoidsnnnet Hollywood, cali

  • OMGONG, REAL TALENT,& They DON`t Vote anyone off. NOT DUMBED Down Yet !

  • I WISH TV SHOWS WERE CLEAN AND FUNNY LIKE THIS.

  • Awesome, could have done without the "forced" commercial. Still worth it for our gang.

  • this is really entertaining

  • The music the kids sing are top rate.

  • this is probably one of my greatest childhood memories , & i`m only 18 , haha .

  • Thank you so much!! It was exactly what I needed today!!

  • TAKES ME BACK

  • Buckwheat is God!

  • Hey Chubby. Do the old fashioned truffle shuffle! LOL

  • it brings back the inocents of our chidhood and before stereo typeing

  • ya me to and i was a kid then too

  • I loved watching these when I was a kid and that was in the 70's.

  • I bet it wasStymie. Or maybe Farina

  • Sheri, yea, Farina....

  • dsraiders, please do some research this was an era when blacks were not part of television. I also suggest you research the highest paid kid of the our gang program. He was black and it was not Buckwheat.

  • this show is soo rascist.... all the black kids are constantly stereotyped and made fun of... one of those moments where innocents jokes of my childhood become suddenly so much more... hilariously awful.

  • @dsraiders16 "Farina" was the first real black actor in hollywood and the first black person to sign a long term contract. He earned 40 dollars a week. This show intergrated black, white, chinese you name it. instead of following the flock with all your pc bullshit.learn for yourself. .Buchwheat, Farina, and Stimie.all stated there was nothing racist, treated the same, and actually broke boundaries while blacks couldnt vote and were segragated in the south. Your a *%#@! idiot.

  • "just another woman driver" lol

  • im 15 and watch this show everyday <3 i love this show alot

  • Wonderful! I am searching for the "Bug Huntin" episode...anyone know where I can find it? LOVING this!

  • I was hunting for the same thing, Spanky is so cute in that episode!

  • Very good, very good and very good...!!!

  • just awesome, im only 17, but i am glad my father bought the collection on VHS, i watch them all I can, and they get better and better

  • :)) They're adorable....

  • Grew up watching the reruns Too bad kids have no place to watch these classics (cept' here)

  • brings back the memories of when life was carefree and innocent.

  • Starting at 6:26 you can hear Marvin T. Hatley's Honolulu baby in the background from Laurel and Hardy's 1933 film Sons of the Desert!

  • hahahahahaha 12:24

  • These are classic & wonderful, and yes, there r some elements of stereotyping, especially these older ones with Jackie Cooper, but in later ones with Spanky, Alfalfa and Porky, Buckwheat was just "part of the gang" and everyone was equal: Equally ignorant, equally poor & underprivileged & equally talented. I believe that Lil Rascals helped promote tolerance and equality as there were no discernible differences between Buckwheat and the rest of the gang.

    Thank you for posting!

  • unelmitchell, another bleeding heart for the poor mistreated blacks. You got one in the Whitehouse, now shut the fuck up! Buckwheat was a "character", an accurate portrayal for "some" blacks in small towns and rural areas. Even the "white" kids appeared crude and uneducated. It was called "humor", something "unelmitchell" is sorely lacking. As far as the "time period" I grew up during that time (in the south), so don't hand me the bs horror stories.

  • You are dead one!! Love it...always leave it to someone to pull the race crap on things......Good lord man......if they don't like it theres the door...use it!!!

  • @garyshoaf I did not see what unelmitchell initially wrote but based on reading your comment - your point would be properly noted if it did not include the hateful tone. I am black myself and although I agree with you that ALL the children we stereotyped to create humor (fat kids, black kids & skinny kids) it would be nice for someone to make a point without throwing in racial slurs. Your important point is lost in the "I'm stooping to your level" comeback. Just food for thought...regards.

  • The difference between the black humorous characters and the white humorous characters is that there were plenty of other kinds of portrayals of whites -- noble, heroic, ordinary -- that put the humorous characters in perspective. There were no noble, heroic, or ordinary portrays of black people, just caricatures that portrayed the same stereotypes that were used to justify legal discrimination and violence.

  • @BlueSkyTune Yeah I understand, according to today's standards, these shows are kinda racist. Remember, this is in the 20s and 30s. Hal Roach's Our Gang was one of the first shows in history that showed whites and blacks as equals.

You can look at these shows and just point out the few racial snippits, or you could just enjoy watching a bunch of kids that are entertaining to millions of people.

If you don't want to watch these shows, then you don't have to.

  • @ShortyMoneyTV I do watch and love them, showed them to my kids/grandkids -- but with a discussion about the racism, so they're aware. I agree about the wealth of material we have from a time when America was definitely not even pretending to be about equality. We can ignore it or we can enjoy the good in it while not being the least bit dismissive or unrealistic about the racism. What's not acceptable is when people think that even commenting on the truth shouldn't be okay.

  • 38:19 BOOPBOOPDEEDOOP

  • 37:10 He said WHOA!!!

  • Good ole blk/wht raw kid humor, without much coaching. Although, the kd's wore costumes instead of a change of clothes. Lil Rascals/Our Gang, what's the difference, if any. :<)

  • I read that Alfalfa could actually sing well and they made him sing off key for the character

  • the little rascles are so funny it brings back old memories and it is a shame that its not a tv show

  • Most of these child actors were children of The Depression whose parents took them from studio to studio hoping they would be the next Temple, Bartholomew or Garland. They made $10 per day plus meals

  • great stuff, brings back old memories of growing up, me and my friends use to watch this faithfully, it's a shame they don't run the shows on tv

  • Incredable acting. Vintage comedy is great. Not like today's. LOL . I'm the Barber of Sheffield Uk . Altogether now,

  • I think it was the barber of "Seville"?

  • I don't think most people realize how ionic the follies of 1939 episode is. At the close of the big number at Club Spanky, we have a feeling of a grande finaly, an end of an era. This was the last Our Gang short that Hal Roached made. Sadly, he sold the Our Gang contracts to MGM after this episode. It probably also was made at a time when Vaudville acts would soon be on the decline as TV and movies take over. What a talented bunch of kids Hal Roach had to work with!

  • I wish you could still get live entertainment shows like that now!

  • why is he or she allowed to post so long videos

  • it's part of an agreement/contract with youtube

  • not sure..but i saw the youtube movies advertised on my home page and this was one i came across.

  • just seeing Buckwheat grinning makes me laugh

  • Just seeing that fucker do anything always makes me laugh and think of Eddie Murphy ... Buckwheat Has Been Shot

  • Unce, tice, fee tines a mady! ;-)

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ha, porky is a murderer

  • FOURTH heres the catch write this to five videos

  • Ms. Crabtree FTW!

  • Yeah right. You get off to Darla, buddy.

  • Precious.

    Thanks for posting!

  • Jeez paulianna1....MelanieLouM was just making an interesting point. You sure read a lot into that. It sounds like you're the one that has a problem!

  • I wish the love bug would hit my husband!

  • These are Great.Thank you so much for finding and sharing some good ones with us all.

  • Are you another new age democrat

  • Actually Hal Roach was way ahead of his time by depicting African-American children playing with and going to school with white children...when these shorts were made, schools and public facilities were seperated by race Leonard Maltin said one time to watch these shorts with "educated eyes" . ^_^

  • if that's all you see here,i really feel sorry for you -- it's a shame you can't just enjoy the humour without hiding behind the -ism card...i'm sure you're a privileged white-girl ivy-leauger,bemoaning the unfairness of oppression to the boredom of all who come in contact with you -- try and develop your sense of humour,it'll serve you well...life is short

  • I wanna croon!

  • Nothing beats the Little Rascals....so great! They never, ever get old (at least not to me and everyone I know) : )

  • Funny thing..when I was a kid I loved the little Rascals and I always wanted to find them and play with them I asked my mom if I could play with them and she laughed and said they are much older now. I was horrified! It was like finding out there is no (I'm not saying what that is just in case there is a little one here)

  • greatest song ever 4:45 - 5:45

  • 22:25 :O :D

  • I really like this film. It's cute. That older guy that said "it's preposterous" is kind of a snob. Alfalfa didn't understand what that word meant.

  • 12:04 is the greatest lol

  • omg my dad went crazy when i said this was on the internet. he bought all the sets on dvd for nothing! lolz

  • Love it..."I'm never gonna get married and I'm gonna bring all my children up the same way" Classic!!

  • that ms. crabtree was the shiznit!!!

  • good times

  • Mary Ann sure knew how to take care of them strange men, lol.

  • "I'm sure the mouse ett it!!" Classic

  • these have the jail bird robert blake

  • In 1938, they were pretty much coming to the end, as far as I am concerned. I think Hal Roach stopped directing these in the early 40s (that's when Blake, and 'Froggy' came in) and it was a whole other animal

  • Saturday mornings.

  • My brother and I used to watch these every morning before we went to school. How we loved these shows! Thank you for having them here!
