  • how many coats do you do and how much paint does it usually take.

  • What kind of paint do u use, I know Eddie used spray paint back then is that what u use?

  • @daniltv1 this was done using Rustoleum Lacquer spray paints.

  • Man, you did a great job with this. I have bought everything I need to do this and I have since practiced it on two different guitars but I just can not get it right. The pattern I mean. I have every picture of that guitar I could find, from every angle and I still seem to get it wrong somehow. I am going to paint the good body I had made next and I am still not confident I will get it the way I want it. Are you using a template or guide of any kind or are you simply going off of pictures of it?

  • Thank you! I went though all different kinds of paints trying to do this before I found this video. Plain ole rustoleum laquer from the depot turned out to be my best project ebdeavor thus far. Thanks man!

  • @KNJODWYER glad to help.

  • What paint and tape are you using?

  • @DamianMunozMusic rustoleum lacquer spray paint and tthe 3/4 and 1/2 is regular masking tape from ace hardware, the 1/4 is auto painters tape. got it on ebay. you may beable to get it at an auto supply store.

  • @vanhalen5150jhs Thanks! I used painters tape from True Value and acrylic paint applied with a brush and it bled a lot and it had a very uneven surface so my next attempt ill use the stuff you do.

  • good work!
