I am not a liberal. But I still hate the philosophy of Ayn Rand. It's too much. I believe in capitalism and a free market system. But Ayn Rand goes too far, basically promoting the idea of only looking out for number one, never helping anyone else. That does no one any good. They liked what I did and they were enthusiastic until they talked to the department of education who told them they can only host their website with the department of education. Social safety nets were created because the possibility of socialist revolution fuelled by the unemployed frightened the wealthy. Welfare might encourage some people to be lazy but it is also there for the elite's own protection. They privatized every last publicly held trust and turned it over to private corporations, most of which were foreign. I really wish she would have explained more how labor unions were in response to government legislation. They werent, they were a response to wealthy corporations that paid workers horrible wages to work in unsafe environments that the government, at the time, did nothing about.
