  • i just saw it now...row row row your boat gently down the stream...that creeped me out

  • Rich man's Volcano

  • @NPSurvival Yea it would of been coool if gta san andreas had a volcano in richman so it would erupt in samp rp and people will be evacuated that would be EPICLY AWSOME

  • yeah doubledouble whisky no harm done yeah alright

  • 007 Escape from Dante's Peak

  • @makemap Nice work James Bond you saved the day again lolz and coolz

  • poor little girl

  • James Bond fights volcanoes

  • this movie is amazing !! love it !!!

  • at 1:14 you can see someone running away

  • Watching the movie in school and were finishing it monday. It's so scary!! I was freaking out. I'm DYING to know how it ended! This movie is WAYYYY better than shitty 2012. F*ck it. The 90's make better movies than now. The actors are better and even the effects are better.

  • Love Love <3

  • The movie was really good but I watched it when I was 10 and have been traumatized every since...

  • i watched this is geophysical science...<3 this movie

  • Today in Science my teacher wasn't feeling good so we watched a video on volcanoes and paused it then told us about this

  • i watched this only because my professor told the class he is one of the extras. We he is, I saw him for 2 seconds

  • We had to watch this in a geography lesson :P

  • Okay so like we were reading an article about volcanoes in Language Arts, and our teacher made us watch this WHOLE MOVIE. WE'RE ONLY 7TH GRADERS. But i was like scared that a volcano was gonna hit me, but i dont even live near one ahaha.

  • The song is called Redrum By Immediate Music

  • anyone tell what the song is? the song is what caught my attention

  • @ShadowGernade21 Redrum by Immediate Music.

  • my bf's mom is in this movie as the bs driver when the building lands on the bus lol

  • i really love this movie' even if i have already watch it for a couple of times'

and all i can say was that'

it is one of the greatest disastrous films through out the history'

  • what is this movie actually rated b/c I know that a lot of the time they just make the preview G and the movie is sometimes PG or 14A... If anybody knows can they please tell me???

  • The 90's were full of great catastrophe movies, Dante's peak, Twister, Independence Day, Armaggedon, Titanic... Not anymore... :(

  • @doid3r4s Have you seen the day after tomorrow. Very good movie from 2004 :)

  • EXPLODING SOON!!!!!!

  • If you want a disaster movie (Not shitty and not Disaster Movie) then you better watch this. I have damn goosebumps by watching the trailer alone. The pure nostalgia of staying up until midnight watching this on Sci-Fi cannot amount to watching 2012 anywhere. I have been searching for this movie with only thoughts of volcanoes and grandmas dying at the foot of the mountain.

This is a great reason why my homeland is the 90s.

  • A Christmas favourite...

  • This movie is AWESOME! I saw it 55 times, and I never get tired!

And there's Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton <3

    WOW! Such a great movie!

It's a pity so many people don't like it..

  • I love this movie! I saw it in a class freshman year, freaked most of the class out. And fuck 2012. That movie sucks

  • I loved this movie! The part where they found the dead bodies in the spring and when the lava just melts through the wall of the grandma's house just scares the crap out of me lol and when they were driving over the lava I was like SAVE THE DOG D: and they did and I was all lyke YAY! :D

  • @SuperAwesomeTiago

Actualy I do really like 2012 but not as much as this one.

I don't know why so many seem to hate it.

  • @ClactonRadio It is the worts movie I have ever seen.2012 over this outdated piece of garbage anyday.

  • @ClactonRadio Wanna know the resone? Because it HAPPENS. Volcanoes going off is not an "End of the world" type of thing, unless an entire island blows up.

People don't like these movies becuase the things that happen in them are real. 2012, well, Not even the comment that wiped out the dinos produced a wave that fucking tall. Earth quakes like that don't happen, they simply don't.

  • @ClactonRadio People don't hate this film, is that the comments are coming from little kids who parents never exposed to them to films other than those they've seen in the theater. So their knowledge of films don't go back further than 2005.

  • @SuperAwesomeTiago ahaha 2012? Seriously? Hands down worst film i've seen in a long time.

  • @SuperAwesomeTiago obviously 2012 was better...both movies center around special effects and considering this came out a decade before 2012 there is absolutely no way dante's peak can live up to a fraction of the awesomeness that is the special affects in 2012...just sayin...

  • @clicheclevername actually i dont like that movie much but my friends say this movie sucks and 2012 is better so i have to agree.

  • @SuperAwesomeTiago Dante's Peak is far more realistic than the shitty 2012, there's no way you can run from judgement day with a helicopter and super shitty ship. plus, this is a 1997 product!

  • @SuperAwesomeTiago 2012 is stupid i hat it

  • Now this is action! Not the crap that "modern Hollywood" slaps out with brad Pitt or whoever the fuck is popular! I meen come on! How many movies out there feature 007 and sarah Connor working together?

  • I always felt sorry for the kid at 0:52, being left alone at a time like that is a serious parenting fail.

  • @ulquihime101 I know. If I were there I would've ran up to her grabbed her and get her out of there. I kept thinking that someone running would at least HELP her. Shows how people you know can change just to save themselves.

  • @LuxrayMaster1 I wuld hate myself for not doing so...come on, it's a child. They can't help themselves like adults do! And I also waited for someone to grab her, but I was really disappointed. HUMANS!

  • is this the movie where they go on a lake in a boat? and than the woman who pushes the boat dies?

  • @JustComeCloserToMe yes it is

  • Its crazy how they drive right into the abandon mine where that kids hang out is.When he goes back to the truck to look for a tracker device the mine shaft collapses and Bronson's has a compound fracture on his elbow lol its so sick you gotta see it.

  • When I think of a Volcano, I think Tommy Lee Jones and Pierce Brosnan.

  • Saw it is so awesome!!! The grandma has to pull a boat because the motor broke and it was in acid then the grandma has to be carried to the snow afterwards she stops breathing and dies... The scary part was when the kid tought the water didn't do anything and the water was acctually acid then the dad stoped him and they found 2 naked dead bodies in the water!

  • @jjx6766766 yea i had to look away at that part 2! yea the acid killed the couple. the kid was about to jump but it wasnt the father that stopped him it was the geologist guy... not his dad.. were watchin this movie in earth science to learn about volcaonos and how movies exxagerate the truth about these kinds of things but yea haha awesome movie

  • @samij520 lol sorry also eww it was nasty...

  • @samij520 hey you still young cause I saw your channel and wanted to say.... Your Super cute... Also that I like you the reason for this is I like blond girls like you but when i suddenly saw your channel I couldn't tell cause you have a profile pic of an old women. I cant tell. REPLY PLEASE. From jjx676676

  • @jjx6766766

IT AINT THE DAD IT'S THE GEOLOGIST AND DAT AINT SNOW IT'S ASH LKMN;LKMLFKSDFSD

YOU ARE A FALEYER OF LIEF >:C RIMLKJ;KJ;LKJ;LKJ

Ahahahaha JKKK I just felt like trolling someone today xD

  • @jjx6766766 IKR! best movie!

  • @jjx6766766 It is ash, not snow, he is not his dad, and the bodies were burned from heat.

  • @jjx6766766 dont spoil things faggot

  • this film is, oddly enough, part of my childhood. it's simple entertainment, which is why i love it

  • one of those gems you rediscover years later and appreciate

  • Where the hell is that Dante's Peak with the giant Pyroclastic cloud!

  • I watched it this year...14 years old ._.

  • I watched this in class, when I was only 7 years old, or so. I remember I cired. Lol.

  • Great movie, still remember when I saw it in class like 5 years ago.

The part when the grandma went in the acid lake to safe her family was between heroic and disgusting :P

  • exploding soon lol

  • ommgge love this movie!!! i love it im 13 and i looovvvvve perice broasnan <3 i want to work with him so so so BAD ( i want to be in 7 movies with him) uh i loovve him hahaha;) he such a fantastic actor! this movie is the best !

  • This is a 90s classic at its best. I thought it was really original, with a lot of great scenes, James Bond and Sarah Connor, suspense, and more realistic than Volcano.

If Yellowstone blows, I would imagine the ash blizzards like in this movie....except all over the US.

0:53 SOMEONE SAVE THE LITTLE GIRL.

  • @FortitudeOfHeaven it may be more realistic... but i prefer Volcano more, they are both amazing movies tho.

  • SARAH CONNOR!

  • If it was so powerful, how didn't the camera get destroyed in the flow?

  • omgz tht was so scary =O

  • dude i reember seeing this as a kid and the beginning where her head is like smshed in always freaked me ot

  • what's the name of the song playing?

  • Interesting...pause the video at 0:49. It looks like the trailer was cut either using the original piece of film, or the VFX team wasn't done with the lava for that particular scene at that time, as the lava flow simply appears as the orange stand-in tarp material.

  • @yourweathertodayHD Edit: the second half of the scene outside the lake house, where the lava appears to their left, not their right.

  • Im making a Lego movie of it. Hope that you will all like it.

P.S.I am the same guy who did lego 2012.

  • im in 6th grade and we saw like half of this at school and there are some really bad parts like some teens go into like a hot spot i think its called and they have no clothes on and they boil up because the water is to hot and then later on u see their bloody bodies in there i mean im only 11 so it waz really gross to us

  • @vikingdonkey

They were young, but adults, and they were skinny dipping in a hot spring. The water boiled because they were above an active volcano, of course. At least the camera didn't catch any nudity. XD

  • I'm in 8th grade and we were recently learning about volcanos in science and we watched this movie!! It was crazy, we're 13!!Scaaaary!

  • better than volcano.....

  • This movie wasn't as good as Volcano. Brosnan's acting was wooden as always. Tommy Lee Jones is a far more genuine actor.

  • old school style suspence

  • we watch this movie in school

  • Is Dantes Peak a true location and where is it?

  • @Jonchess It's a real town but it's not called Dante's Peak. It was filmed in Wallace, Idaho. They have a large hill in that town and it was digitally shot to make it look like a volcano. One of the volcano scenes you see in this movie though is actually Mount St Helens, the part where Harry (Pierce Brosnan) and a fellow team member get caught in a rockslide.

  • Lemme just drive mah pickup through some lava, no big deal...

  • Please somebody save the 0:53 little girl, she's freaked out and alone, do not know where hers parents are.

  • I hate this movie, it's so horrible :D Thank god I live far away from volcanoes..

  • VoLAcano sucked. This movie had James Bond, Sarah Connor, magnificent landscape that got destroyed, cool soundtrack, cool death scenes (granny in acid lake and boss going down with town´s bridge and jerk-offs going down with helicopter) and it had coffee time!

  • I love this movie this is the movie we watch in our school and I was just a 13 years old kid and download this and put it in the cd and watch it..... Damn we just close our eyes and can't handle the suspense.... WOW very great movie.......... I give it 100 stars........

  • @yushigo12 lol we r watchin this on monday (13 year olds)

  • @lebronjms2 OMG!!! I'm going to be a celebrity....

  • @yushigo12 same with me!!! I just finished watching it in class today it is such a good movie and so intence :)

  • @yushigo12 My class is watching it to! Only diffence is that we haven't finished it yet.DX

We're at the part were the bridge is destroyed. Can u tell me were you downloaded it from?

I can't wait till the end of the weekend!

  • @yushigo12 wow i'm 13 and i just watched it today at school too :D

  • i remember it when i was still highschool, 3rd year hs i think .. we watched it in our science class,, it's so amazing..

  • "exploding soon" wow haha.

Great movie, watched it in Geography

  • good movie!

  • this is a very very good movie :)

THEY SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO HARRY!!!

  • I always liked the name Dante's Peak... clever reference to Dante Alighieri.

  • I am watching this movie in science class..so far it is really good...i can't wait to finish it

  • I love this film soooo much!

  • such a gooodd movie :D

  • A volcano is turning nature into a nightmare .... NO S**T

  • watched this movie the other nite, couldnt help noticeing

they said the town affectcted had a population of 120 000

but it looked tiny, had 1 high school and everybody seemed

to know each other, i live in a town with 60 000 people

half the size, it has 4 high schools and looks 10 times the size

of that place in the movie, i was like wtf, is it just me that

    noticed that?

  • @KnightCaptainNicol I live near the town in this movie. The town only has like 10,000 lol. But good observation!!!

  • @KnightCaptainNicol I'm pretty sure the population was 7,400? I don't know heard that somewhere :P

  • I love this movie cause it was a singular movie where the two main actors could show there talents without it being serialised.

  • One of the best movies I've ever seen.

Makes me grateful that I don't live near an active volcano, as far as I know they're extinct, or dormant...

  • it's coffee time coffee coffee coffee coffee coffee coffee cappuccino java yes

  • I saw this when I was a kid and it scared me to death. I thought every mountain where I lived was a volcano even though I live in California lol. After seeing this movie I can't understand why someone would want to live next to a volcano.

  • It was a nice movie, not the best that I have seen though.

  • HEY disasters fans take a look on my channel it will contain many disasters videos, see my channel's TWO disasters trailers(promos) NOW !!!!

  • Wow does this trailer (especially the voice over) make this movie look CHEEZY!!!! But back in '97 (when I was 13) I thought this movie was the COOLEST THING I HAD EVER SEEN :P I watched it and re-watched it a thousand times I could recite it! (I know pathetic) AND even to this day the scene in the lake with granny stays fresh in my younger brothers mind (he is now 22 :P)

  • i love this movie so so so so so so MUCH ...bc it a science movie and my fav actor !!!<3( PB ) love him haha(: and i see it everyday ..and i seen it so many times that i know the hole scrpt and im only 12 im so proad of my self haha(:

  • i love this movie so much! and i love geology!! haha i may become a volcanologist or seismologist once im done with school ^_^

  • We watched this in geography it epic

  • i really wonder how they do this video :p

  • The music in the trailer is redrum by immediat music

  • @Jacob6443 Thank you, man. I've been looking for the of the song for a year.

  • @Jacob6443 Thank you, man. I've been looking for the of the song for a year.

  • Povera Sarah Connor.

  • iceland and europe in the future?

  • 'EXPLODING SOON' that was very original LMAO =)

  • dantes peak is inspired by the explosion of mt. pinatubo! :)

  • Saw this vid in science class. Wasnt that bad.

  • The geology is pretty good except in two areas.

    1) the lava would not be that runny thats for hot spots

    2) The lake would not have turned to acid that quickly or acid burnt they lady as much as is depicted.

    3) a car running driving away from a pyroclastic flow? I dont think so.

  • They have done this movie very well.

I saw this first time at school. I think this is a good movie.

  • good movie, but the grandma, jumped in the acid?

  • i still wonder why...

  • Yes, she was pushing the boat to try to save the family's lives. I'm surprised a lot more people don't catch that right away

  • saw this AMC it was pretty good---didnt they warn the grandmother the volcano was about to erupt and she ignored them???

  • I like that movie too....

    It's one of my favourite....

    10/10

  • It made me sad when the Grandma died.

  • a very great movie

  • man I love this movie!

and I have watched it like 17-20 times and I still love it :D

  • i loved that movie best one iv seen in my life! dantas peak 10/10

  • ....It was a awesome movie....I seen it several times in the theatre and I watch it at home too...I love it! AAA+!

  • whats the plot? theres a volcano and they just drive out of town?? that sound so great thats the best movie idea ever.... -.-'

  • I saw this a few nights ago. Good movie, so much more realistic than "Volcano" (I mean, a volcano just pops up randomly in LA? Seriously?)

  • @GaseousNobility Thats actually pretty realistic if pressure built up enough it could be good enough like the pressure of dry ice in a fridge could make the fridge door bust open and fly across a house if there is enough pressure, the was one of the parts that wasnt unrealistic, also when pieces started flying out of the volcano he power could have raised up dirt making the volcano itself, just because it seems unrealistic doesnt mean it is... like the earth being round used to seem unrealistic.

  • I love this movie but there are two things wrong in this trailer 1st 1:03 was taken at a differnt shot and 1:14 to 1:16 wasn't in the movie

  • Yeah, that last shot of the pyroclastic flow would have been good, but what's really interesting is that it's a different car, a little econocar hatchback, rather than the truck. Odd.

  • Wow I never saw that Good spotting

  • Yeah, and by that time the town is covered in ash unlike the town showed in the trailer. But still a kick ass trailer.

  • Stuntman: Ignition, as the Aftershock has totally copied this!

  • i have the movie and watched it lastnight which was like my millionth time and man that speical effects dude is guiness

  • pretty cool movie. It had Pierce Brosnan in it, and a good soundtrack. I loved the special effects.

  • This movie is cool, being a 1997 film, awesome!

  • Having a close encounter with a pyroclastic cloud would be SCARY. If you don't act fast (run for your life or evacuate) you will be dead or severely injured.

  • screw severaly injured, you'd be BBQ'ed alive

  • Agreed!

  • There's no outrunning a pyroclastic flow, they tend to come down the mountain at hundreds of miles per hour, with the gases of it being up to and beyond 1000 degrees. Case in point, it would be scary, no denying that.

  • You are right,

  • immediate music redrum

  • Someone tell me What is a name of this

music in the middle of the trailer?

  • The movie has a good sound track and sounds great on a DTS system.

  • @ClactonRadio i have the soundtrack and its good

  • @desseraie

Yes I sounds excellent on my DTS system.

    Bet the CDs good to.

  • There are some Volcanoes in Pakistan's province Baluchistan... one just exploded in 2010 it wasnt that big..... but there are several other mud volcanoes in baluchistan... wat i wanna know is how dangerous these Pakistani volcanoes could be.......????? does any one know......???

  • dante's peak is awesome! still one of my favorite after 10 years :)

  • Comment removed

  • i love this movie <3

  • I love this movie !

  • i liked this movie so much when i first saw it..awesome!

  • I saw the last 20 min. of the film, it was sweet.

  • Disaster movies is my favorite genre! Iv'e always wanted to make one until I'm in my 20's. Cant wait for "2012"!

  • Agreed, Disaster / end of the world type movies are my favourite. I have been looking forward to 2012 now for about 4 months. Only 1 and a half months left!

  • Is this the film, when the granny falls into the acid lake?

  • Yes this is the one.
