Maestro - It's 3:30 AM and I have to go to work but I can't wait to get home and practice this lesson. Thanks very much for teaching this. You have made my day!!
Just wanted to say thanks so much for the video Ted. I've been a blues player for years and just half an hour of this has got me out of my penatonic rut and well on the road to chicken pickin bliss!
I've tried a few different guys tutorials but you explained it so well that I'll definitely be checkin up on your vids regularly. Cheers!
Folks, you should hear this guy cut loose w his band, "The King Daddy Polecats", they play often north of Atlanta in the Gainseville area...ridiculously good band.
I just can't quite get that sound outa my tele. Im not very good at "dailing in tones". What settings do you have on your amp? Treble, middle, bass, reverb, gain etc?

Excellent lesson dude. Most of these other guys are blah blah and don't explain how the solo patterns fit over the chords. How can you can you run(solo) when you can't even walk(chords) yet.
Nice , your a good teacher, not overwhelming talky talky but still info. Ive been able to blow away my thrash metal buddies after nailing this lesson. Little do they know. Im gonna keep this a secret for a lil while. ---ha ha ha
The double stop at 3.00 mins is really hard to get hold of for a non country player, the pull off to the open string and the order it's in. I love playing it now though.
That's good teaching. You use proper fingering on your runs. Fast, too. Thanks for the lesson on the pull-offs on the E and D-7th chords. I wish you were in Toronto. Hope you post more.
I'm in the same boat as Matty. After years of thrashing just now tryna learn the guitar. Tips of my right fingers getting blisters though! Thanks for the great lessons and uploads, Ted.
Hey look everyone. A YouTube thread with no flaming. What the hell is going on here??!
yeah, im trying to learn country and my fingers are killing me. ive been playing blues and rock for about 11 years now and use 11 gauge strings. my finger HURT!!!!
This is great, thanks for these lessons and your time. Im learning my root notes quickly in the chords..this helps me better understand how these licks move from chord to chord. Thanks for explaning slowly for someone like me.
fuck what am i doin here?!!
