@anjilyn2 good guys my ass, go see other videos where they shoot, bomb and throw puppys off a cliff and beat a sheep to death with a bat. people need to realize that most of the soldiers are bunch of gang members who enjoy killing, but this guy is a real hero and there are few like him.

God loves His animals, and i can tell you love animals and God, and i pray He Blesses and protects our Troopers, esp. ones like Brian, who have a big heart, and are willing to DO something to help save a sweet dog who had no one, except the creeps who hurt him. ;( i hate evil, and i hate it when people do evil to the innocents. I do love animals, I even considered becoming a vet, but I'm bad at math (Ironically, I discussed this with a vet many years later and he said math was a but a tiny part of his DVM degree). I remember learning about Nubs some time ago and being so grateful that so many people loved him enough to bring him to a safe, loving home. And I believe there is an especially hot corner of hell for people who abuse animals. ;-)

@MsGLULU hi there MsGLULU, i agree with you soo much. being cruel to an innocent animal makes me want to go to war against the jerks! actually, in the book, Brian found the guy who admitted to cutting his ears off, and he went off on him. YAY Brian!!! i'm glad, because i wanted to punch that dude in the face for hurting Nubs. the jerk said it made him hear better, yeah right. i also don't appreciate anyone killing ChrisTians, or anyone, except in self defense, or to protect the defenseless.

Ignoring the fact that Brian kept hitting poor Nubs in the face... ^_^ This is an incredible story! I thank him for his initiative and determination to help/save this dog, specially when he himself had many other things to worry about, like his own safety. A very strong handshake for that man, much respect, Yely.

@15peewee12 Hi there...i'm the authors sister. i guess the military doesn't allow dogs on base. one dork felt the need to report him, so Brian and his buddys, and friends from home collected enough money to send him to his home in america. Nubs didn't do anything but be COOL, unlike the higher-ups who aren't cool. in fact, they should allow dogs for our troops, lets face it, the Troops get lonely, and there's nothing like a sweet dog to have for a friend when you're fighting a war. ;(

to sambalbelacan202....thanks for commenting, and Nubs is living with Brian, the Marine in San Diego. Brain had to go back to fight, but his best friend and his friends g/f are keeping him and when he gets back, he's going back to Brian. ;) Brian is so cool, when someone ratted on him for having Nubs at the compound overseas, he got his friends and family to chip in and fly Nubs to his friends home in S.D. too bad for the jerk who turned him in for ...having a dog! cheers!
