Some of the later episodes of Zillion were amazing and definately had a high level of action for it's tiime.
Motorcycles ! Guns ! Mecha ! Zillion really set the trend for anime and action films !
I remember seeing Zillion for the first time when I was like 12 years old. Lets just say I was blown away, nothing in the USA could compare at the time.
