Hey Ras, I had to route the pickup openings to accommodate the Barts, I used a neck and bridge set of pu's. I am a carpenter so for me , no problem. I also had to modify the pickguard for the Bart pup. Audere Audio preamp direct fit! I hope this helps you. Play With Passion!

I have the same bass and want to start by changing the pre for the audere. Does it fit right away or did you need to change anything for the audere to fit in ?? Why did you choose the 5 over the 3. The 3 has a nice passive tone contro,which the 5 lacks..

Modification absolutley necessary! Barts are a bit different in specs. Wider than the stock pickups, so some routing was done. No problem for me, I am a carpenter by trade...
