  • Nice vid. Heh, strange thing that Heart of Darkness. One thing though. Marlowe had race issues but not the narrator. As Marlowe speaks of this tale, the nameless sailor listens to him. He hears him speak of England as a place once similar to the Congo and how the Romans remade it. "White Man's Burden" perhaps.

    At first, I thought of it as a piece of "those times", but I think Conrad showed his shame, regardless of intention. I just looked up his background and it started to make sense.
