The recording ban must be at the discretion of the venue, not the artist. Every show on Stevie's current tour was recorded and posted on youtube. I saw no evidence of security watching for people recording at any show. Nor was there any sort of "check" for recording devices at the door. That's just preposterous in this age of smart phone cams. Was this show being recorded by a professional video crew? That's the only reason I could imagine any sort of recording ban by the paying audience.
