It's digitized gramophone record of an old russian song "dubinushka" performed by Feodor Chaliapin.

This was one of the first game I played too after nibbles and gozilla on qbasic...

But there was a russian song at the beginning of the game ! (the very first digitalized voice I've heard !!!! ...in 1990)

... and there was different sounds when you lose, the malicious flies danced while making
