The jack sparrow animatronic is pretty cool. But the music at the beginning makes it sound like a pirate lullaby or something

me and my mom got on this last year! Suddenly my mom goes "I heard the people ahead of us screaming! Why were they screaming??!!". Then it got dark and then........DROP! It was fun though :D

I went with my cousins in 2009 and i really didn't want to go on this a second time, so i sat with my arms crossed the whole time, but when the drop came, i hung on only cuz it was unexpected :P

why are you all complaining about drops? it's a darkride, no drops needed!! the only reason the one at disney world has a drop is because of the utilidors.

I love the air conditioning in this ride mixed with all of the water. It's very chilly and it gives you that effect of the ocean breeze

@themadhadder123 this ride wasnt even supposed to be at wdw.... they were planning on making a whole area based on a ride called The Western River Expedition... But when the park opened people wondered where the pirates were... so they made a shorter version of the disneyland ride in its place... look it up on google, the ride looked amazing!!!

@SuperTomate19 The one in the video is at Disneyworld, not Disneyland. The one in Disneyland is kinda different, it's really just a tad longer, and theres 2 drops. Thats really the only change I see.

This is the half rate version. Look up the history on WDW's Pirates. They really did half ass it. As for the movies, thumbs down for screwing up a classic attraction.

One of the first rides I always went on when I lived in California and visited Disneyland. Miss being able to do that now. Would love to see someone do a ride-thru totally alone with a HD camera that would give awesome night visuals.
