it was 1997, when i bought a PC mag with a demo-cd.... on that cd, a DEMO of GTA. you could play for 1 or 3 minutes (don't remember exactly) - and man, did we love playing it!

the very n ext day i went to a store and bought the full version of GTA.

eversince i bought every part and i am proud to have played ALL the parts, from the very start.

todays kids can't imagine how GTA in 3dfx-mode felt playing. all they know is graphics, but that's not all.

@m0rbusPolytox totally know how you feel. I was 10 years old and my buddy's older sisters boyfriend was into video games and gave him a copy of GTA. My friend came to school talking about this game where you can jack cars and kill people. It was so much fun at the time. It may be boring by today's standards but back than it revolutionary.

BUT GTA was somehow special and, as you say, it was great fun!

did you know that GTA 1 & 2 are available for free at Rockstar Games? i played them recentlya and although i love good graphics etc., it still is a great game and even greater fun!
