  • before-black chick.after-white chick

  • you should try having the barrel on top of the section of hair instead of the brush being on top...works fine for me that way.

  • The roots look fuller because you pulled the InStyler straight out and then down. Pull it in a straight down direction to avoid that puffy look.

  • Mine doesn't get so hot:(

  • I do like how the instyler gives you lots of volume at the roots. The thing is that I can't get stick straight hair when I want it

  • Your Lisp Is Really Cute =) I Have One Too Btw

  • @MonaeArtistry Congrats on the instyler working on your hair...it did not work for me or my friends hair at all!...But its still nice to see that it works on someone :)

  • @alialialiali101 lol... have you checked out my video where I use a flat iron? How to make your hair silky straight? I think you will love that video. Check it out and let me know what you think.

  • yours is too big u need a 19mm like mine to get to them roots

  • worked wonders in my hair lol

  • lmao she kept burning her self

  • You have pretty hair

  • the texture of ur natural hair is really pretty!!!

  • omg i have an instyler and you will burn ur self like hell

  • Omigod!!!! her hair did NOT look good in the end. i think its stupid to spent like $100 on a flat iron like that, when a $15 one could do the exact same thing!!!

  • i used it and i LOVE it. .. don't like my roots super super straight cause my scalp feels weird... but u can get close with the smaller barrel one. i also used a blowdyer 1st.

  • Duh Fuck?

    Did anyone read the tags?

    False Advertise much?!

  • @ardneklolful LOL sexy girl , sexy hair . That's funny .

  • Is your hair natural or post relaxed

  • lol rat tail combs and rubber bands on curly hair... LOL

  • Having full looking roots makes your hair look thicker which is a good thing so you don't need to be so worried about it cause it looks nice.

  • QUE COSA TAN MALA ESE ARTEFACTO, DEJA LAS RAICES MUY MAL¡¡¡

  • you're really pretty :) beautiful eyes and lips :)

  • i burnt my ear with that

  • i love your make-up ! you are SOO pretty!!

  • I bought the INstyler last year, and after one use I returned it. It feels cheaply made, and it's awkward to use. I don't think it straightened my hair well. I have fine hair, with medium spiral curls and it was taking me a few passes to really get what I wanted. I agree with the root problem, I had the same problem with it not straightening my roots well. I bought a equally as cheap flat iron and it does a much better job, just use some shine spray to get the shine, imo. :)

  • Well you should learn how to use a straightner first before make an video the way ur hair did look in the end was cuz the wrong way u used it .-.

  • @rLvDrake Thanks for taking your time to comment on my video. Make sure to check out my other video on "How to get curly hair silky straight". In that video I use a flat iron.

  • @MonaeArtistry Great come back lol. Great video thanks for sharing.

  • Wow, good product but LOTS of heat..Do you like it?

  • I like the her tags in the Downbar! Hahah! :) You look so pretty with your hair volume like that!

  • my concern is that you probably got heat damage from using the instyler...

  • Yes this instyler is HORRIBLE i would rather use a 5.00$ flat iron then use the instyler

  • I think it looks good that it doesn't get too close to the root it gives your hair volume!

  • hahahahhhah why she keep fliching i got the instyler and i really doesnt work on my hair at all any one who is thinking about it i say Think again like she said in the video it dnt get to ur roots that well it makes the roots look to full it does give a good shine though

  • Is this sold in stores? My daughter wants one.

  • i saw u on the new instyler tv commercial ahhhhhhh

  • @2010worldhistory Oh thanks for the heads up :-) I can't believe you recognized me in that 3 seconds.

  • I watched the instyler commercial and was so excited to buy it. I have thick, long curly hair and nothing straightens it...the insyler did, but it was too full and the instyler commercial says low heat but it is one of the most hot irons I`ve used. My mother burnt my ear really badly. I had trouble styling with it and it created soooo much static with my hair nothing worked to stop the static. I feel like it was a waste of my money.

  • @MidnightRose77 Thank you for taking the time to comment. I'm sorry that you are having a bad experience. Try using serum or a light moisturizer while blow drying your hair of before use the iron.

  • Ceramic flat irons are better then metal plate flat irons. Because the metal does way more damage to your hair then what the ceramic does. Either way your hair can get damaged regardless metal, or ceramic because heat its self it bad for the hair. So it's always definitely good to go out and buy a good heat protector for your hair and apply it to your hair before blow drying and before straightening your hair. That's what I do and my hair is still soft and I use a ceramic flat iron as well.

  • @flawless206 Thanks for the comment. I list the heat protectors I used Sebastian Potion 9 as a heat protector. Have you checked out my video on how to get your curly or kinky hair silky straight? I use a tourmaline iron in that video. Let me know what you think of it.

  • The same thing happens to me my roots are full, but i love the instyler it quickly. I would recommended better then a flat iron.

  • @lovedancin I'm happy you like it. Have you checked out any of my other hair and makeup tutorials? I'd love to hear your opinion.

  • Does it damage or burn your hair?

  • im not sure, but it hink i saw a part of your video on tv for like a 2nd,because the instyler was introducing there smaller barrel.it was pretty cool, considering the fact tht ive watrched ur vid more than once.

  • @heelylover117 Yes you were right, thanks for letting me know. Have you checked out any of my other tutorials? I'd love to get your opinion on them.

  • the instyler is horrible. pure metal that will sizzle your hair & as previously said, you cannot get close to your roots. smh .. 100% Ceramic Straightners is the way to go :D

  • @g0rjess91 Thanks so much for your comment. Have you checked out my video on how to get your curly or kinky hair silky straight? I use a tourmaline iron, which is a higher quality than ceramic, in that video. Let me know what you think of it.

  • @g0rjess91 Nothing beats that.

  • @g0rjess91 psh screw cermainc, titanium all the way

  • @g0rjess91 Well I have it and I like it actually..

  • love ur eyebrows n ur makeup.. u have beautiful eyes! =)

  • @enigmacpl Thank you so so much for the compliments. It is such a breath of fresh air to read a positive comment. Have you checked out any of my other hair, makeup, or skincare videos? I'd love to hear your opinion on them.

  • Wow that came out beautiful!! Do I have to order it or can i go into the mall or something?? And what color highlights do you have in your hair?? very pretty

  • @shinejenkins Thank you so much! I have a video up "How to Choose and Apply Your Color". That will show you step by step how I choose and applied my hair color. Check it out and let me know what you think.

  • It works in your hair? I have one, it sucks balls.

  • @Kristahl15 Thank you for taking the time to comment. I'm sorry that you are having a bad experience. Try using serum or a light moisturizer while blow drying your hair of before use the iron.

  • your hair color fits your skin tone so well. culd you tell me what kind you use and what color?

  • @loladu100 Thank you so much! I have a video up "How to Choose and Apply Your Color". That will show you step by step how I choose and applied my hair color. Check it out and let me know what you think.

  • I have Used the Instyler Stole it from my sister... Lol I will say it worked much better without adding any products to the hair and when I WENT REALLY SLOW!!! From root to end Iended up with a much better bounce and the roots were less puffy more silky! And honestly You will burn the shit out your ears with that thing and my hair did get caught that spining metal thing at the end. I have natural unrelaxed hair and it works better on people of white and slightly curly mixed hair. Sorry just does

  • Dat brow....smh...

  • Not bad! It's pretty good!

  • HI, love your reviews! Would you be interested in a FREE TRIAL product? Its called HoneySilk an all natural edible product for natural or chemically treated hair?!

  • Im new to your channel, and im not to sure if u noticed but wene useing heat protectient it cuts down on frizzy and dry ends. But your hair looks healthy allready. Im 13 but ive watched over 1,000s on how to hair videos and many do not use heat protectinet. but just letting you know :) i love you hair tho!! keep doing what you do!! ~~ Leany~~

  • @leany886384 Thanks for the heats up. I use heat protectants. I think I forgot to list them. Check out my other video on how to straighten hair. Check it out and let me know what you think.

  • What is your hair texture? It's beautiful

  • @iBEkewll Great question! I would guess a mix of 3c/4a. Thank you so much for the compliment. I'd love to hear your opinion on them.

  • Be carefull with your face!!! You could get hurt!

    well, nice tutorial!

  • @lupauViDeOs ... Thank you for your concern.

  • Be carefull with your face!!! You could get burned!!!

  • Oh Yes!! I'm Getting This! A birthday present for me!!!

  • @TheVoluptuousVixen93 Let me know how it works out for you.

  • @MonaeArtistry Ok!! Sure Will.

  • 1:37 Shiit it''s hot !! damet 'm i gonna keep it to the end of recording i'm on a video :D !

    ^^ thank's for the review video ^^

  • Thank you for your review because i dint want to waste my money and i have thick, kinky hair

  • So, I use the Instyler and I have curly hair also. I do definitely agree that it doesn't go completely towards the roots, but it does work for me. When you're straightening, I would suggest having the rectangle side (side with the bristles) face your hair or I guess your face. That way you can get closer to the roots and also, you won't burn yourself as much, haha! That's what I do, and I use my right hand for both sides of my head and it works for me. I hope that helps.

  • Whenever I straighten my hair with the instyler my hair looks so unhealthy and frizzy. x.x

  • try the pyt flat iron it really work

  • Hello, I've heard of the InStyler coming with a protective plastic bag so that you won't burn yourself while straightening your hair. Do you have an idea of how this 'bag' works? Personally, I see no way of wearing a protective bag in your head unless it's just to protect your ears of face.

  • This is an awesome review! You explained your thoughts really well and even without the whole process sped up, I never got board :D Great job, you look so beautiful with straight hair!

  • You probably already know this, but you were on the new Instyler infomercial for a few seconds.

  • @laichi16 That was so kind of you to let me know :-)

  • We can see that it burns the hair a bit. So cannot it damage the hair for an everyday use ? My friend is using chimical stuffs for her hair, and we are looking for something wich could be better than a classical straightener ( chimicals are not great, and don't fix "the problem" for a long time!lol!). Thanx for this video, we don't have the same in France, because the girls who test it don't have curly hair. Here it really shows what is the result on curly and thick hair.

  • @Bellona59 Thank you for the comment. Have you checked out my other video "How to make naturally curly hair silky straight"? I think you will really like that method as well. Let me know what you think.

  • sa se voit que tes cheveux crame !!

  • you are so pretty :)

  • @sandritagirl13 Thank you for taking your time to compliment me. Please continue to let me know your thoughts and feelings on my other videos.

  • Just wanted you to know I watched your video a while back and I felt for you with the burns and all...ouch! I own the Instyler and I also burned myself a couple of times. Overall I love this styling tool. I have indeed gotten my money's worth out of it. Back to your vid. Let the haters hate, just wanted to let you know that your vid is in the new InStyler infomercial for 2012!! Check it out. Again Congratulations!! Keep doing your thing..

  • @MsYvette12 Thank you so much!

  • You are so pretty!

  • @DestinyandDevon Thank you for taking your time to compliment me. Please continue to let me know your thoughts and feelings on my other videos.

  • U r so pretty :)

After I watched this I hunt down every store to find the instyler :D

Thank u so much for this helpful video

Keep up the good work -3

  • IT burnt my hair lol

  • another thing u forgot to mention is that its loud as hell! its like a f-in lawnmower. my mom got me one two Christmases ago an i dont even use it anymore. pkus its easier not to burn yourself when u put the barrel on top. u get the roots better that way too.

  • Nicely done =^) O and people that comment negatively towards you like they know you personally are idiots! With that said, Id be very grateful if you would please take the time to answer the following questions: Is this your perferred method of flat ironing essentially now? Also I can only find em for $125. Can you give me any leads on where I may find one cheaper? If no, do you think its really worth the money?

  • @420Diogi Thanks for your kindness. Now to answer your questions... I prefer flat ironing my hair and I have posted that video as well it's called "How to make your curly or kinky hair silky straight". If you want a let expensive Instyler try Ebay. Thanks again for your comment.

  • ummmm please when you part your hair...HOLD your hair straight in the air to get to the roots then roll down! babe I felt like you were burning me..lol

  • umm.. you keep burning yourself because that one is suppose to be for people with long hair.. they have the same one but the rotating iron is smaller.

  • thanks for showing that the instyler sucks because i have mix hair being spanish and black i have bad roots when i need a relaxer

  • @jeeploverify are you serious? Please start loving yourself.nobody "needs" a relaxer.how can a person have bad roots? Makes no sense.

love you for who you are and how you were born.peace and love

  • @jeeploverify I'm sure your hair is beautiful. Have you checked out my video "How to make your curly or kinky hair silky straight"? You may like that method better. Leave your opinion after you watch it.

  • talk with ur mouth not ur tounge

  • u burned urself

  • i have the instyler and all i have to say is, im covered with scars O.o

  • @ShakeItUp4Evah It takes some getting used to... Have you seen my other video "How to make your curly or kinky hair silky straight"? I''d love to hear your opinion on it.

  • instyler commercial is on, to lazy to change the channel. so i looked this up :3

  • @EpiclyFailTV Thanks for checking it out and leaving a comment. I'd love to hear your opinion on my other hair and makeup tutorials.

  • HaHa! Ms. You burned you're self :p

  • the faces she make when she get burned ooo lol good job!

  • you could go back with your average straightener, put it on a little lower heat and do your roots that way

  • never use rubber band on your hair no matter what it breaks your hair off

  • Hah..."That was not a fun feeling." She reminds me of myself there....

  • @harajukuhunny LOL... Thanks for your comment.

  • I feel like I don't want something "combing through my hair like that. I feel like it has the potential to damage ends...etc.

  • You need to hold it longer at the roots then move down really slow and when you get to the end, flip it under and hold it there too. it will give you a much better look than just bone straight like you had it. Also, wrap it when you're done and it should come out great! My hair is similar than yours but a little thicker/longer and I have thrown out my flat iron and use ONLY this now! I love it!

  • How high was the temperature to get your hair that straight??

  • @cutema101 Not sure... It was turned all the way up.

  • I knew you had a lisp before you even began talking.

  • @AyoItsEboni ok...

  • Oh I see u were goin to fast kinda that's why it was still thick at the root.

  • the instyler burns your hair like mine:(

  • I am a natrual with mbl hair and I lover the Instyler it gets my hair super straight with less fuss. With the brush already attached!! The only con I have is that the barrel only spins one way. I would be a huge plus if it had a directional switch like the split ender.

  • @Diajinn So true... thanks for your comment. Have you checked out any of my other videos? Id love to hear your opinions.

  • Also, i've seen a lot of people use the instyler who has hair curlier or just as curly as yours, and when they straighten their hair it gets frizzier then normal. You must take very good care of yoru hair!

  • @NakatamiHigurashi Thank you so much. I try. Have you seen any of my other videos on makeup or hairstyling? I'd love to hear your opinion.

  • If you want a curl at the end of your hair, Leave the hair around the instyler while clamping it closed. That way its being headed to curl like a normal curler and the spinning will keep it silky :D

BTW, thank you for this video, Im gonna buy this to use for my date on Saturday

  • @NakatamiHigurashi Thanks for your comment.

  • if u wrap your hair your roots should striaght n a lil

  • @MsMsreid Thanks for your comment.

  • i just got an instyler for christmas. i'm half black, half white and i must say, this tool works SO much better than a regular straighter. it usually takes me at least 3 hours for a good straightener, but with this, it really cuts the time in half! you can't really get the roots all too great, but you can use a straightener for that.

great video! i would really recommend using the guard that comes with it. you won't burn yourself with that. (:

  • @ActingMe2434 I'm happy that it works out well for you. Have you checked out any of my other makeup and hair tutorials? Id love to hear your opinion.

  • its nice to know that it works on thick curly hair. i'm getting an instyler from craigslist for about half the price lol

  • @1nd1en1le Awesome, thanks for the comment.

  • que droga

  • Did you air dry your hair? BTW I like the results I'm natural and would not want it super straight

  • @amberlinat For this tool/video I air dried my hair. I have another tutorial showing how I normally straighten my natural hair. Check it out and let me know what you think.

  • you can always satin wrap your hair to get those roots to lay down.....

  • @deedeesnicks Thanks for the comment. Have you checked out any of my other videos?

  • I've seen that for better curling results leave for a long while the instyler in the hair.

  • @comidaseldogor Thanks for the comment. Have you checked out any of my other makeup and hair tutorials?

  • I got the Instyler too and I hate it. I have super curly hair and all it did was make it fizzy and not as straight as a normal flat iron did.

  • RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF I got it fro CHristmas sucks so fucking bad for short hair rt. Ima stick withmy revlons.

  • i LOVE the colors in your hair :))

  • @TatiLovesYou96 Thanks so much! Have you checked out the video where I show how I choose and apply my hair color? Check it out and let me know what you think.

  • amiga me puedes a decir de q están echas las plaquetas q se calientan porfavor un beso

  • good job but sinces it didnt get good with the roots i would hit it up with a pressing comb

  • @kammie2828 Thanks for you comment. Have you checked out my other video showing how I normally flat iron my hair?

  • I have this product and it is impossible to get to the roots without burning yourself. The other thing I notice is that the bristles start to melt down. I think this product was made for people with straight hair.

  • @winks478 I agree about the bristles. Thanks for your comment. Have you checked out my videos on hair straightening and natural makeup? I'd love to hear your opinion.

  • I totally agree. My hair is just wavy, and for me I would have rather spent the money on a new flat iron than this. It takes a very long time to style a full head of hair. Very awkward with one one direction rolling too.

  • @MissGirlyAshley13 Thanks for your comment. I'd love to hear your opinion on my other videos.

  • i love the shine! this is a great video!

I really wanna try the instyler but it just cant get to the root smooth which is something that i really obsess about when i get my hair done. but it really does a great job because you hair came out beautiful!

  • @cenalover386 Thanks so much for your comment. I understand what you mean about the roots. Have you checked out my video on how to straighten hair and the "Wen" products?

  • @MonaeArtistry i havent, i will have to check those out!!

    thanks for the respond

  • Thi

  • yours doesnt have a gaurd =0

  • D YOU STILL USE THE INSTYLER? WOULD YOU RECOMMEND ON TIGHTLY COILED HAIR? YEAH I CAN SEE THE ROOT ISSUE AS TO NOT GETTING TOO CLOSE, HMMM. I AM STILL SHOPPING AROUND - HEARD ALOT ABOUT BABYLISS AND H2PRO

  • Did you use any products in your hair before this?

  • Wow. I see the instyler works. I've been seeing the instyler in target stores and been wanting to try it out but been hearing opnions saying that the instyler doesn't work on thick coarse hair and african american hair but it does.

  • I love it!!

  • DONT BURN URSLEF!!!

  • I LOVE THE INSTYLER! I have curly thick long frizzy hair and my hair is super soft and tamed I first I hated it but my sis taught me how to use it correctly and now it's awesome!

  • yea but that burns u the c shells dont

  • it looks great with the volume at the root. it gives it character

  • thats amazing!!

  • I used my friend's Instyler and Im really NOT a fan! Its SUPER easy to burn yourself with it so you must be very careful. That alone is stressful to me plus it doesnt straighten thicker/course hair good enough you would need a good press first atleast..once again its sooooo easy to burn yourself! Lol

  • lmao at the commercial says it cant burn you but she is clearly jumpin from da heat

  • what about your ends? will this break your ends?

  • The instyler sucks.
