  • @sailingisgay...the brick thing was an accident. some idiot threw it against a wall or something....god that sounds just as bad. But yeah, the cops tend to be a little more aggressive here. I've seen videos of South Korean protests where a guy used a homemade flamethrower without immediately being gunned down. Here he'd be shot on suspicion alone of such a thing and get little sympathy from the masses.

  • That woman in the beginning was an idiot. "I read online...They're mad about people who have money or something... and they blame it of the IMF..."

so when she was looking up the protests online she couldn't have taken maybe 2 minutes extra to...I don't know.....GOOGLE the terms IMF and World Bank? Maybe make half an attempt to find out WHY they're angry.

  • From what I read some guy tossed a brick off the buildings side and it ended up bouncing off and hitting someone in the face. So the closest thing to a....let's be generous and call it an insurrectionist act, was actually someone's unintended screw-up.

  • Dumb government-recruited pig can't read.

  • resistance is cool, violence is not. bricks are the reason cops can throw tear gas at you

  • Ahhh gave up so ez, wtf, Real Black Bloc stands there ground, looks like these kids need a nap.

  • It seems like the October Rebellion bases their philosophy of social change on Heath Ledger's Joker character.

  • I am, however, thrilled that these people stood up. though there should have been more support for the students, i agree

  • and we have our first dickwad punk-rocker who doesn't really know what anarchy is about. If your ideas don't reach anybody, you're screwed, and violent protest violates others rights. Since the fundamental tenet of anarchism is each individuals supreme liberty from outside coercion, you're going AGAINST what you preach you illiterate hypocrite!!!

  • how so? take this in consideration:

These people are literally ruling over people's rights. These people are literally enslaving people. So, it is their and our right to say no. I fundamentally oppose the world bank on one ground that if its good or bad they are making decisions for other people and they have not consented upon it.

Anarchism opposes this first and fore most.

I have a feeling that you know nothing about anarchism...i am hoping youre not an anarcho-capitalist.

  • Where is the fucking RESISTANCE? who cares if you get arrested! fuck the police!!

  • thats right exercise your constitutional and walk through the street in a disorganized mess. it surprises me that the IMF doesn't listen to you!!! All I see is a bunch kids looking for a cause to pretend to be passionate about. Good luck changing the world, dumb hippies!!!

  • you obviously don't know shit.

  • ummm you need to wake up I guess you posted this like 8 months ago, well hay New World Order is now being talked about all over the News, Get you head out of the sand.

  • Hahaha at the stupid girl getting hit by a brick.

  • Congrats on disrupting business for all the independent business's and working class people who lost most of a days wages.Conrats on hitting an innocent woman in the head with a brick. You all bitch and complain about the cops and say they are oppressing you, well I got a news flash for you. The cops are there to protect you from people like me from kicking your asses. Douch bags %90 of you will be a part of the "system" the "machine" in a few years anyway just like the hippies of the 60's.

  • M Street is far from an independent business area. It's pervaded by corporate stores that only serve to perpetuate the messed up neoliberalism that the IMF promotes. Sure, we might have disrupted the day for a few working class people, but nothing compared to what American corporate interests have done to people abroad. Watch who you target first.

  • A girl got hit in the face with a brick. You call that "disrupting her day"?

  • I'd love to know how many of you craaaazy radicals come from bourgeois backgrounds. I'd bet most.

  • how are the bourgeois backgrounds of radicals relevant? why aren't we talking about the fucked up policies of the IMF?

  • well, it's funny how many kids in where I live are working class, and not red flag anarchists but green flag.

  • Wow, looks like you guys really shut down the whole thing... good job.

  • it's really too bad they didn't just keep marching. they outnumbered the police and that that "ten at a time" line is bullshit. nobody would have been able to stop them if they just kept walking as a group and left as calmly as they marched.

  • Very true. But the decision to disperse was made under consensus of those who were encircled, including myself (red flag and camo hat).

Oh btw, a Nazi band is coming to New York City on the 2nd and 3rd of Nov, 7 PM both nights. If you're there, shut them down. Racism and fascism CANNOT be tolerated.

  • Wow, I feel pretty bad about the girl that got hit. But I feel equally bad or worse about all the blood the police spilled in Seattle, or the kid they shot in the head here in my hometown in the 60's, or the kids at Kent State, or the kid they shot and killed at the protests in Genoa, or the thousands the police beat and gas all the time, the bones they've broken, the black and working class people they kill...

  • it was probably just like many marches. fake protestors planted in the group to cause trouble and force police action.

  • Damn...that's the most well organized black bloc Ive seen in awhile. Nice!

  • Comment removed

  • I like how the cop on the bike sarcastically asks the guy who was run over by another motorcycle if he needs an ambulance.

  • why bother gettin all dressed up if youre just gonna drop your gear and disperse as soon as a cop tells you to?

  • the "reporter" was actually one of the protest organizers...23 seconds into the clip, you can see him giving instructions the masked ninja-looking guy...

  • I like the reporter from Faux Nooz trying to ask questions of the anarchists. Um, do you know you're the enemy??

  • i would say, "what a bunch of smelly, ignorant hippies"-except hippies didn't wear masks and throw bricks at innocent bystanders...
