But i like this video. Because I respect people who do what they want and put in this way their heart and soul.
Remember,
Drunk form, clear mind. Heart and soul controls Fist. See inside, find what is impossible to find. Listen to nature and think only about the way! Good Luck, keep on like this, and maybe one day we will meet for a friendship duel!) I would be honored to use my style i developed!
lets be real this performance is good, but for AMAZING he still has to work really long time!
i will speak like critic..So don't insult,
Moves are too slack-baked.. its too early for him to, use this! Movement is too awkwardly and it looked like his fists are too heavy for him. Some stances and moves were good. but still.. if u r training u r not aiming for good, only best and perfect! Moves too strait, its not like white or no chinese.. Humans r humans, we r same.. and yea)) he wasnt drunk XD
@szcsk i didn t say that it is easy or difficult ... i do the same with most cool way if you want to know... it s not a good performance... it s a very low quality performance...
i know that but that would just b the generic style. what the actual name of this form. like u could just call a tang lang form tang lang, or it could me qi xing tang lang, mei hua tang lang, beng bu tang lang. or many others
@scotttacusbrady what happens when the student can no longer afford to pay the teacher. i have a great master. but i can no longe afford it. how is the teaching under master Guo at the Yantai school. Do you know anything about the lineage behind the styles he teaches, such as Chen style tai chi, bagua and xing yi?
@micsir888 my advice, be more like Daniel LaRusso aside from the getting beaten up part...
you'll have to speak with one of the current students about Master Guo as he was after my time. try the "Yantai Shaolin Martial Arts Academy" group on facebook
wow, that was an AMAZING performance of Zui Quan. major kudos man, i'm sure after all that training that you're finally happy to start seeing some noticeable changes and improvement. weird question...do you ever like "accidentally" start stumbling around like you do in Drunken form when you're just like walking down the street to the convenience store? lol also another, serious, question...do know of any online references for tip to beginners wanting to learn this particular martial arts form?
Dude that was awesome!Very flowing with GR8 balance!May I ask how long did you train in preperation for this video???/how long have you been training Drunken Fist???
It took him about nine months of doing basics and other fist forms b4 the masters would even consider teaching him drunken form. By then he had already picked up many of the movements from daily training such as drunken fists, stances, breakfalls and acrobatics. He got about 5 or 6 weeks of individual instruction to put everything in to sequence. Before finishing his stay, he put on this performance, proving once and for all that white men CAN jump.
Thanks very much for such a quick and detailed reply!Cheers and I will try to learn from him!He has a lot of devotion towards it and that is very admirable!Tho I am far behind his quality,I'm just learning thru distant training,my Sifu lives on da other side of the world.I was gonna post a new demo, but I think I'll train for several more months 1st,Cheers!

Wow!
Great to see a non-chinese so adept in the art(s).
It's somewhat rare to see a westerner move the with the same feel as they do.
Especially the more fluid styles, like Zui Quan!
Great Job!

@170GMS i don't think so, i've seen very bad performances from profesionals, and this seems to be a very good amateur performance.
but the point is that you shouldn't advise practice, if you aren't better, and if you do, than you should be more humble
by the way, i'm curious on your performance...
the video you linked is good, but i don't think the shaolin gay was ever drunk and he can't even act like a drunk. despite this that is great too

the teacher appears when the student is ready...
but if that doesn't happen, you can just go to this school -- chinashaolins (.com)
