  • Seeing this makes me realize how much Discovery Channel have changed during the last 10 years.

  • @santosbl01 It's sad, isn't it

  • i thought they were going to make some super fast sup[er powerful jet fighter but/// Yuck

  • Speed up to live in Fallout world ? become the super ghoul. lol....

  • So, whenever this plane passes on any country, months later, the people in that country would be glowing in the dark and geiger counter sensitive?

  • @BigbotCollections well we do have nuclear powered subs/aircraft carriers.. etc .. if that were true we'd all be glowing by now.. a nuclear powered aircraft might be a little scary (espically when the 1st one crashes).. but i would be all for nuclear powered space-craft.. that way if it goes boom, the odds of it effecting anything else will be minimial..

  • @GeorgeNada1 the Cassini-Huygens probe was nuclear powered. Anyway, assuming that antigravity one day will be discovered, and assuming it will be quite expensive, nuclear powered spaceflight would be obviously the first choice.

  • 01:50 melt the ice with atomic bomb on the north and south pool for warmer climate . lol!

  • @itsmewillempy Poor Santa!

  • The explosion at 1:00 was a large conventional blast, not nuclear.

  • What would happen if it got shot...

  • @manynukes11 Nothing? Nuclear reactor and weapons don't work that way. If you want to destroyed a Nuclear power plant you bomb the fuck out the reactor, so that the uranium and such gets disintegrated and breaks apart leaving nothing. In fact during the Japan crisis the Us military wanted to bomb the plant with a B-2

  • @HeadSHOT604 and crashed it what I meant, shot then it crashed

  • @manynukes11 Oh well that uhhh it better be in the ocean, or an area miles across would become inhabitable.

  • @HeadSHOT604 exactly lol

  • nuclear will be used to power future robots, then will the power it has it will be able to travel back in time! now that would be cool!

  • heck where can I get one!

  • If it could stay in air for years, then the thing it would carry would be Food and porn.

  • @jaredlee283 You said it bro ;)

  • @jaredlee283 no more like movies, weed, then food and porn

  • @jaredlee283: LMAO!! No way would the Yanks waste that thing on being a flying porn theatre!!

  • @jaredlee283 Question is, what would the enemy be bombed with, food or porn?

  • @sysghost both.PSYOP you see...:)

  • @TheGoldSlime You also missed my point, Submarines didn't get faster underwater when they moved to nuclear power.... Exaggeration is a method that is sometimes utilized in the English language, however I would expect you to grasp this idea. In case your reading next time I'll make sure to add *note this is exaggeration*

  • imagine if nuclear powered airplane exist.. its not flying in the air for years.. its about the power it'll bring.. like speed.. its like bringing a continental bomber from new york to moscow in just a few minutes.. and delivering there payload in successive blow..

  • @TheAngelknives I'm not quite sure were you were educated, but, Nuclear power doesnt suddenly give you speed??? Power isn't the problem when reaching high speeds, its the physical stress the the airplane is put under.. Anyway If nuclear power is going to bring speed to aircraft what went wrong with submarines, when they moved to nuclear power they didn't break the sound barrier!

  • nuclear powered so it can stay on air for years LOL

  • @dex123james Now you need self replicating ammo the plane

  • LOL nuclear airplane :)!

  • right...

  • if the plane did flew wont the crew die of radiation?

  • @Jacksack123b Have you ever heard of nuclear powered submarines?

  • @Jacksack123b From what I've heard the Russians flew a live reactor and it did poison the crew with radiation due to weight limitations preventing use of adequate shielding.

  • @RatkoUSA Couldn't you use a magnetic field for radiation shielding? Or some cool shit like that?

  • @Jacksack123b the nuclear was seal and crews were kept far away, and it has 12 inches of glass for the windows.

  • as a rule of thumb, if your geiger meter's alarm isnt going off, it means your safe, no matter how the wind is blowing. until its going off, YOU ARE SAFE. and then, and only then, you are supposed to take the correct dosage of potassium iodine, and thats also only if theres both dangerous levels of radiation AS WELL AS a high density of radioactive IODINE in the environment. it does nothing about cesium. but regardless, the geiger meter is the most trustworthy thing to consult.

  • nuclear power makes sense for powerplants and very large crafts. for things like cars, which crash all the time, radioactive debris would be terrible. but as for aircraft carriers, submarines, and some space applications where you need an ample amount of power for long periods of time, nuclear power is a godsend. I hate how environmentalists give into their own hype that they dont see nuclear is actually their best friend for the electrical grid. warm water, thats all it makes.

  • its this hype which is why arizona is still broke and only gets money from tourism and gambling.yuca mountain couldve been the most lucrative waste repository on the planet. and so vast its storage capacity, the whole world wouldve paid them handsomely for a place to get rid of all their waste.nuclear power and nuclear weapons dont even use the same isotopes and usually not even the same elements.people are fickle, apparently they are smart enough to come up with this, but too dumb to appreciate it

  • @Pimpmastahanhduece yeh heres someone supporting nuclear energy a few week ago before the japan nuclear meltdown.. don't worry that craps heading towards west coast of usa..

  • the trace amounts which will be less than natural radioactive sources hitting the west coast. people are freaking out grabbing those potassium iodine pills like crazy and will overdose on them when they dont even need them in the first place. and once again, negligence is the source of the japanese disaster. why the fuck would you put the diesel backup generators in the basement of an area prone to tsunamis? not to mention these are poorly regulated ancient model plants.

  • reactors cant EVER meltdown if the cooling system doesnt fail. and that has nothing to do with the inherient usage of fission products but the poorly designed and poorly maintained plants where somehow both failsafes fail. thats not the uranium's fault, its stupid people who think a lucky streak is a guarentee that their fuck ups will hopfully go unnoticed. theres a reason why theres the NRC, an organization devoted completely to the nuclear industry.

  • When I was a kid 50 years ago, my dad worked for the Atomic Energy Commission. One secret project he worked on was the Savanna, the world's first nuclear-powered ocean liner. So I wouldn't rule out nuclear-powered aircraft. The nuclear reactor is way too valuable as a power source to allow humanity to ignore it. It was dangerous half a century ago, but who knows what new technologies the thousands of scientists who've been working with hundreds of billions of tax dollars have come up with?

  • you dont want this plane to be shot down ...

  • i blame the crazy russians

  • @GreenNikeShoes bullshit

  • @GreenNikeShoes I said "bullshit" because it's bullshit, the US weren't even close to being conquered

and btw, I live in Holland, which the American's freed

  • @GreenNikeShoes lets make something clear here, im a partly Russian, and i hate the capitalist Americans, i said crazy Russians as a compliment, beacuse they have tried some crazy ass shit in the past which helped them defeat the German army, i don't know why you though crazy as an insult, but that for you to figure out.

  • @GreenNikeShoes i dont understand what your saying.. but okay sure

  • @GreenNikeShoes russia beat the nazies not because of their powerful military but because of the winter which ultimatly allowed them to push the nazies out of the soviet union you should research this stuff.

    P.S im not american

  • @SuperRetro2010 Absolutely wrong. Biggest turnaround in WW2 was in July and August of 1943 (battle of Kursk), do some reading before talking nonsense. Germans are not idiots, they were well prepared for Russian winter

  • @frosty4700 no the germans new it was going to be winter then but their original plan was to invade a part of russia a month before the winter started but were slown down by other countries at the time so they had no choice but to invade the eastern part of russian in the winter which was their bigget mistake. ps shut your mouth!

  • nuclear propulsion system is a good idea, because this might be running more force than today, today used propulsion system. it look like more air pressing.

    it can be alien spaceship

  • better nuclear powered space ship.it will open new horizonts
