@GoldenYoshiKing23 armada always played melee he didn't switch to it. Armada is (or was?) a solid sheik. but the choices that kirby was making were terrible. I've played with NEO's sheik and marth, he makes much stronger choices than armada was making this match.

Armada dash attacked five times in a row right at the very beginning and got punished every time. even the time he actually hits in these matches.

Im a melee Player and is not playing brawl anymore

I gave the game a chance in the begining but I didn´t like it =/

So I said I would play until I feel I don´t have much of a chance aginst the best ones

Well 17th place at the first Genesis without actually never practice is kinda good I guess =)

The Swan Combo, which is what the ftilt > fair combo sequence that he's been pulling off isn't actually a true combo most of the time. It's very specific to the opponent's character and damage. A lot of the comboes in the match were in fact poor playing on the Kirby's part, but you can't say Armada didn't capitalize very well on such mistakes. Great Sheik, OK Kirby at best.

Yup, you're sure right. You can't air-dodge if you're in the middle of being hit. However, seeing as there is little to no hit-stun in brawl, you can often air-dodge immediately afterward... making most of these Sheik "combos" simply poor playing on the Kirby's part.

actually sheik has a few true combos that depend on decay, there are numerous sheik players that have done frame analysis iirc

Indeed, though most of what the Sheik here displayed throughout the matches were not those decay combos. I've played Armada's Sheik, and it's good, but this Kirby just doesn't know what it's doing.

actually fair decay + ftilt decay are actually true combos. however they are dependent on character+ percentages. While they work similarily on characters sometimes the different s makes it from a true combo to hard to escape string. Its funny cuz even that confuses ppl do to the fact theyre not sure if they are in a true combo and not cuz sheik has tons of those. So most of these combos were actually legit. You can look up the frame/decay data if ur curious.
