Hmm you make me want to get it BUT I really like the different classes from wow and how you needed a tank and a healer... it really gave the sense of teamwork... I don't know but you made it seem like this game doesn't have that, please say I'm wrong

@NoGamesNoLife There are no tanks or dedicated healers, meaning you don't have to sacrifice running with your friends because you don't have that healer or tank. 5 warriors can go into a dungeon and beat it.

@NoGamesNoLife it's true the holy trinity tank, dps, healer forces you to rely on teamwork, but it also forces you into roles, if no-one wants to be a healer you can't do content. GW2 will also require teamwork but it will come from various support skills, e.g. buffing each other, protecting players from damage with shield spells rather than healin and combos created between professions, e.g. an elementalist puts up a fire wall and a ranger shoots arrows through it, which become burning arrows.

@NoGamesNoLife There are no healers and tanks, but that still doesn't mean you don't need teamwork. Each class has their own supporting abilities which have to be used at the right time to help your team either through protection or buffing their damage e.g. mage can put down a fire wall and when a ranger fires through it the arrow turns into a fire arrow as it passes through it

As a day 1 proph player, I'm very excited. My reason for playing WoW? Something to do til' the next Guild Wars expansion, as I had done everything in GW1. Other than a little PvP there was nothing else. But.. I assume they were too busy making Aion, as the game was forgotton. Should that be expected from a game with no monthly fees? Whatever the case, it was balls. I really hope they learn from their past mistakes, and keep in touch with their community.

I'm stockpiling coke now, both kinds.

I've been playing WoW for 7 years. I've tried Warhammer, Aion, Rift, Guild Wars 1, and soon I will try SWOTOR; yet none of these games ever really excited me the way WoW did when I started playing it. Guild Wars 2 is already making me feel nostalgic, and I haven't even touched it yet. I don't know why, but I think Guild Wars 2 may be the game that will finally get me to quit WoW...

@zaltair7 Probably not. It's an MMO, not Metal Gear Solid, so I doubt you need to know all of the back-story. It's apparently set 250 years after the last events of any of Guild Wars 1's expansions, so I doubt they're even related.
