i got one of these and as far as basic media goes it beats the ipod with better sound quality than the touch and the zune pass. and the OLED screen is better for watching movies. i also think the home screen (or whatever you want to call it) is easier to find things with, but some people will disagree with me on that

but if you wanna play games and browse the web, you should go for the ipod

there will be a 75% chance of having a "App Store-Like" feature on the Zune HD. There is no built in speaker unfortunately. Most likely you can go to youtube online with the built in flash player but some websites that use flash player may not work.

You need speakers because what if one of your friends wants to hear also. it's not that important a feature but its nice to have it. I still love my Zune hd nonetheless.

the new touch will feature an integrated mic and a camera. (odds are itll be a shitty one) There wont be a radio cuz there never has been. It will run on the same running system, but itll be called gen 3. It will run on the same apps store. I cant see the case changing. so thats prolly it, a shitty mic and camera. how i know this? i work at Future Shop in Canada. I attended a meeting about new releases. and weve discussed the differences. The store manager has a direct hookup with apple.

HEY PEOPLE. My cuz makes phone apps but he is now working with Zune. He told me about this think last summer and said they are make PZHD. its going to DO EVERY THING and work with anything wifi.

Also zune users will get Tmobile hot spots free! and the coolest thing is that you can use a zune as a Credit card (REALLY, I'M NOT JOKING) he went on to say that if you have the zune with PZHD you get discounts at Movies and on Microsoft products

There's nothing wrong with the touch but I prefer OLED screens far more than LCD, and that's one thing this has that people will have to wait for Apple to 'catch up". However, the touch has been out far longer and has so much software and so many accessories for it.

Nope. I love their products, but I wouldn't get the iPhone, and I'd never get a Mac Pro. You can call me a fanboy cause I prefer their stuff over Microsoft's, (even though I use XP too, I just can't stand Vista) but then you're just being stereotypical. What pisses me off though, is when people bash Apple products then call us Apple fans fanboys when we defend our favorite music players/computers. Its a hypocritical battle. Apple's been in the market much longer. And people generally seem to be happy with their iPods. I know I've never had a problem with an iPod, and neither have my friends, unless they dropped it of course. That would kill any hard drive. Basically my point is, don't support a company thats just ripping ideas from their competitor. This is basically an iPod touch, with slightly different firmware, such as the UI.. and a different outward appearance. Nothing original really. The Zune is a rip.

uh dude, i was talkinga bout the iPod video. me and my friend both had iPod videos, and he dropped his and it broke the hard drive. dropping anything with a hard drive in it gives it a high chance of breaking. i've dropped my nano tons of times and it works perfectly.

What the biggest fault with the Zune software in my opinion is that they didn't just give Windows Media Player a huge overhaul like they should have, and they had a whole other resource-crazy music app. It would be so much easier if they'd had just built the functionality into WMP. and they could make a mac version of it.. i mean, there are some mac users that don't want an ipod, but would like a zune, but then their out of luck. doesn't make sense to me.

It's SO much faster and in my opinion has more features. I'm a Mac user, though, so I use iTunes. But compared to the built in Windows Media Player on Windows, the Zune software is SUPER slow.

You will soon find out that all the ideas the "touch" has, came from mp3 players before it.
