  • betty bou what a dish, betty grable, what a gam

  • If I was one of those soldiers I would be like " this nazi is so pathetic and just shoot him .

  • @TheMartinmarine80 I'd like to see you pull an arrogant face in his position, stupid kid.

  • @McFaintful

    fuck off

  • @TheMartinmarine80 My point proven.

  • @McFaintful diseapear nazi fag .

  • @TheMartinmarine80 Grow the fuck up.

  • @McFaintful go chock on a dick TROLL

  • @TheMartinmarine80 You don't even know what a troll is. Brat.

  • My greatgrandfather was iin the battle of the bulge, and he told me that the germans, many of them hated hilter. But, they thought they had to fight for their families and countries or death would become.

  • i say can you see i say can you see........fuck hitler FUCK HITLER greatest national anthem ever!!!!

  • he was acting like that cause he didnt want to be killed... end of story

  • @CODvideoPRODUCTIONS

and you would have been standing there brave, hand risen up into the air and yelling "KILL ME!" ?

you stupid fool would have done the same.. lying for saving your fucking god damn ass!

so dont talk shit about this scene. you dont even know a bit about war. you cant imaging how men felt in the battlefields.. codvideoproductions, wow.. then i guess that you only play CoD, a game from america with pseudo-patriotic bullshit in it.. ignorant child!

  • @citizenph1L -_- would you calm down? i mean what's eating you man? I play CoD cause its fun. And name ONE part in my comment where i was saying anything bad about the scene in the comment? i don't see any. And i do happen to know a lot about war. Your right maby i can't know what its exactly like in the war, but i have a pretty good idea. Happen to like this movie... a lot... and im very interested in WW2 so i wouldn't say anything really offensive to it so the real ignorant child would be you

  • Hey put the whole thing on where also sings the national anthem....i say can you see I say can you see lol

  • Remember kids, if someones making you dig your own grave, the trick is to keep talking and shovelling near the soldier pointing the gun. Then at the right moment, act as if you've struck a rock and can't dig any further, lift the shovel up as if you're going to hack the ground, and dive forward driving it at his knees.

    -Chopper

  • They was not forced into fighting...they where brainwashed by false propaganda

But some children where forced into HITLER YOUTH CAMPS.

  • I find this bit the saddest because 99.9% of the Wehrmacht were exactly the same as our guys, not wanting to fight or die. Barely any of them shared the ideals that Hitler and his officers believed in.

  • @DeformedMelonFilms Yes, but sadly thats how a large scale war is. They take men out of their homes and give them a gun. I was really sad during this scene.

  • @DeformedMelonFilms not 99.9% but deffinetly a very large part of the army, the ones responsable for most of the atrocities were the SS troops.

  • @DeformedMelonFilms That and brain washed by Hitler.

  • haha yeah most of them may have been forced to fight but watch the end of the movie that german there ran into his men instead of the americans and shot a bunch of armericans at the end

  • there were 2 armies , wehrmacht( like us army) and SS(ELITE like the marines) SS were the nazis not the wehrmacht who got forced in fight

  • fuck that guy. After they dropped him off, then he killed many Americanere. He is in the movie at the end but dies. Although he was forced to be with and attacking America after having been released. He did not need to kill some one..

  • I do not know what I am suppose to think when I watch things like this happening in saving private ryan and band of brothers. American soliders killing unarmed german prisioners Am I suppose to think that thoes fascist, genocidic pigs deserve it? or am i suppose to be appauled by it? because to tell you the truth I am appauled by it. I am under the impression that they are humanizing the krauts in this movie and this was directed by same jewish director who made schindlers list. I don't get it.

  • wenigstens haben die produzenten nicht so einen wannabe deutschen für den film genommen^^

  • This motherfucker should be killed because he killed Miller and many more at the end

  • @Xditti naw Umpum killed them, hes a coward and a traitor and he should be shot....

  • @Xditti Its war man

  • @Xditti yeah fuck this guy. Just what you wrote bothered me to !

  • The sad part is this probably happened many times, on many sides. Most soldiers were drafted.

  • steamboat willie, CHOO CHOO.

  • Steam Boat Willy.....

    CHOOO CHOO!!!!

    =]

  • not all nazis were bad. Many of them were forced into doing what they did. The rest were either loyal or just plain crazy.

  • @link0zeldarulz89

Most Wehrmacht, Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe soldiers weren't nazis. SS troops were more than likely nazis, but Himmler basically took the strongest recruits for the SS and didn't really care about ideology.

  • @abaddon5 This is where most Americans get their history mixed up. When they think the regular German Wehrmacht thinks they are Nazis. Its like saying our U.S. Army are capitalists, which doesn't make sense at all.

  • @collegefootballrulez

I agree. Another point is that the various German services had to agree to wear the swastika. Another point is that various German officers were plotting to kill Hitler since he was basically fucking up everywhere since his fingers were in just about every operation.

  • were can i find the movie where the german sings the american folksong?

  • i cried here :(, until I saw the end.

  • @PadraikKasier i dont think anyone should be killed and we should avoid war period. But some guys like this German had to fight for his family and country so.

  • @PadraikKasier when did he come back in the movie and cut throats

  • @DREWVIX1992; Never mind, it's not the same character. But I still stand by that he deserved to be killed, or at least that I would not have blamed Miller and the company if they decided to.

  • The ironic thing was when he was set free, he came back and fought with the nazi's again..

  • @upakyou then he killed captain miller, then upham killed him...

  • I bet you asshole patriots are gonna be commenting "ohhh he needs to die, screw that german" not callin u guys assholes but if u think this normal german deserves to die like the others then just shame on you. Your the real nazi scum.

  • @DREWVIX1992; Considering he came back and mercilessly cut the throats of the very men that spared his life, yeah I'd say that's reason enough for him to deserve death. Forgive me if that makes me the "real nazi scum".

  • @PadraikKasier that was a common misconception. it's actually a different guy who cut the throats of mellish

and do you realize how dumb you're sounding right now? you're using a MOVIE PLOT to argue that all germans are nazis..

  • @flectz; I didn't argue that all Germans were Nazis, man. I'm saying that this particular character deserved it. It's a soldier's duty to be ready to kill the enemy.

Also, thank you for telling me that. I was not aware that they were not the same character.

  • lol

this is the best part of the whole movie!!!

    Steam Boat Willy!!!! CHOOOO CHOOO!!!

  • I'm a German-American and my grandfather was a Sargent in the German army during WW2. He was living in Russia at the time and was forced to join the army because he was German. He and my uncle hated Hitler but was forced to fight the Russians. He said many soldier felt the same way.

  • For some reason, the German Guy reminds me of Gollum from Lord of the Rings. He's cool.

  • Fancy Chmanzy

  • ...These YouTube arguments are getting old. Can we all just agree to disagree and watch the video.

Fancy Schmancy, Go Fly A Kite, Cool Beans.

  • ...So there are points to be made for both arguments; those who claim to know truth are just blowhards spouting nonsense. I'd bet some saying this are still in high school, with the typical cocksure assertions of youth. I've read many books on the Third Reich - some opposed, some didn't, but they fought.

  • ...During Stalingrad many believed their Fuhrer would save them, yes even during Stalingrad, one of the most brutal, ferocious, hopeless conflicts of the war (they were wrong of course). You must consider the ethos of the German as well - the importance of following orders and their tendency to follow patterns of authoritarian behavior (Jarausch). The allies tried to eradicate this behavior with denazification after the war.

  • If you folks are going to make claims that Germans didn't want to fight or didn't like Hitler, you MUST quote sources or you have no credibility. Even historians aren't entirely sure one way or the other how ordinary soldiers felt, but Hitler was undeniably the most popular leader in the world by the late 30s and was at the zenith of his power before Barbarossa (Kershaw). But with Nazification and threat of the Gestapo for speaking ill of Hitler, who knew how most felt...

  • @mikeduplantier can we at least agree, that though some soldiers probably willingly joined the German army, some didn't? I think both side of the argument both are true in a way

  • @mikeduplantier I definetely think most germans sympathized with hitler but it doesn't even take half a brain to clue out that this man was sasying positives things about america just so he could survive :)

  • @mikeduplantier

My great grandfather fought for the German army, and he's still alive. But you know what? He was a conscript. So were all of his friends. His friends who were killed by allied soldiers, whose wives were raped by Russian soldiers. My Great Grandfather does not like what he did, and he hated it while he was doing it. Both sides were terrible, just remember that the victors write the history books, asshole.

  • Should not have let him lived ; that fucker shot Miller!!!

  • I felt bad for that German soldier. He was just fowlling his orders. Most German soldiers were just defending their country and weren't evil like Hitler.

  • this scene almost made me cry. i really like how this movie shows that it was hard for germany an america

  • u can see that not al germans soldiers were 'bad' they had to or their children of girlfriend would be shot or something else he had to and he wants to live

  • my favourite scene, would put myself in front of him before they shot anybody.

  • too bad he had to stab the guy at the end

  • no wonder....smoking a german cig was like smoking a turd. It tastes awful. In fact, they liked Marlboro's and Lucky cigarettes so much that German soldiers took them from American POW's. By international laws of war, taking smokes away from soldiers was forbidden because they were considered as personals. But the Germans didn't care.

  • poor guy i know the germans where wrong during WWII but if when i look at him i would have let him go

  • Poor ol' jimmy

  • I have so much respect for the german army in ww2 its only the SS that i dont like the regular troops were the best in the war in my opinion.

  • r.i.p. steamboat willie

  • Upham=american progessive

  • @tenyardrambo

    Upham = Coward and homo.

  • such a sad movie.. i wish i could go back in time though.

  • gotta love steamboat willie!

  • Poor dude .. Ahhh.. So cruel from the americans maaan

  • @BloXboX37 dude..he's been release by miller

  • @BloXboX37 they end up letting him go.

  • His hair is completely wrong. German soldiers didn't have bald shaved heads during the war.

  • @WhiteSlift none of them? none at all? nada? nilch? zero?

  • @WhiteSlift yeah if u noticed, alot of german soldiers in the movie were made to look like cavemen with shaved heads, grizzled features, ugly or old, etc. in reality alot of german soldiers were just regular looking people and they did have hair.

  • @nddavi58

Yeah most Wehrmacht soldiers they would have faced would have been fresh faced 18/19 year old kids. No real difference from your average American in appearance-many Americans are of German descent themselves. Most Germans had loose haircuts, and none shaved their heads. This film also features only Anglosaxons as American soldiers, ignoring German, Irish, Scottish, Italian etc Americans who fought in large numbers,&overstates the role of other minorities, particularly JewishAmericans.

  • @gunninlinguist Someone is clearly particularly ignorant of a memorable scene in which one soldier points out to a procession of German soldiers that he is a 'Juden' as well as the Italian-American Sergeant of the squad... Plus Upham (spelling?) hardly looks like an Anglo-Saxon to me.

  • @nddavi58 idk if you are poking fun at Germans by saying they look like cavemen, but I didn't see any of that in the movie. I don't remember seeing ugly and old German soldiers. The Wehrmacht of course had soldiers with shaved hair, bald hair, full hair, and I saw all those types in the movie, even though it was often hard to tell the hairstyles of soldiers when they wore their helmet. They all looked like regular looking people.

  • @nddavi58 their uniforms look so great that they still look better than the americans

  • @nddavi58 cept for the fact that the german army made them shave their heads. Same with american military personnel. Just saying, both sides looked like cavemen

  • @staidenofanarchy no actually alot of german soldiers used pomade in their hair and slicked it back. my point is that in this film spielberg used certain tactics to persuade the audience..

  • you are a retard if you feel bad for him: you guys didn't even watch the movie

  • @ilovetennis66 he was doing his job his mates killed the americans mates and vise-versa and then they let him go. You can't say hes a bad guy if both groups where doing there jobs.

  • id let every1 live....xcept the fanatical nazis of the Waffen SS. they were pure evil. the german regulars were forced to fight and most of them hated hitler.

  • i feel sorry for that poor german guy :(

  • @NROONEY456 Did you feel sorry for him when he killed 2 men of that squad in the final battle? lol

  • @ThatInnerDarkness well it was his duty to fight

  • i would have shot him. i said that Before i saw him later in the movie.

  • I already removed the comment, but it said something like "I would've shot him." In reality, I probably wouldn't have, but I probably wrote it because I know that letting him live comes back to bite those guys in the butt later on in the movie. Sorry to have caused such a controversy.

  • Did they left him live cause im german so is most of my familiy he had no other choice hitler was makeing everyone fight bust into homes saying your going to war

if they show any mercy let him have it i wont feel right if he dies

  • This is actually a Lost flashback, Faraday is actually like wolverine and we see him here taking part in one of the many wars in world history.

  • German soldiers were forced into fighting?????? LOL what history book have you been reading?

  • @Higgins86 Helloooo it's HITLER where talking about, he FORCED them.

  • I love how they are all called Nazi's. oh history...

  • wow, if i was that german guy i would have showed some class and wouldnt act so desperate. like he did.

  • @ktockly Really would you now? So if you had 6 guys with guns forcing you to dig your own grave you would be Mr.calm cool and collected? War isn't COD, there is no save points and no respawn. Im sure you would have already shit your self and would be begging at their feet.

  • @thelastspaceman I know war isnt anything like COD at all, im not that fucking stupid. Yes, i admit i would be fucking terrified if 6 guys where pointing guns at me, ofcourse i would be terrified but i wouldnt start weeping and crying on my knees.

  • @ktockly

    You'd be a classy Nazi?

    >_>

You're criticizing him on his class? xD oh wow.

  • wat happened to the nazi after this?

  • later on in the movie, he was shot by Upham, the guy he was smoking with.

  • lmao

and Matrix was a documentary for some morons)

jou managed to lose ardennen battle with like 100% air superiority

  • German soldiers were forced into fighting by the Nazi's, he wanted to live.

  • @DesolateGrunt - Wrong, Quarter of the Nazi Military didnt want to fight. This here Nazi's desperate to live, he would do anything to live. He kills this one guy at the end of the movie, btw.

  • I think it was more than one of them he comes back and kills later.

  • @DesolateGrunt And at the end he shot one of the guys? Wow, He didn't have to shoot him..

  • @DesolateGrunt but he delibrately shot miller at the end.

  • @DesolateGrunt why is that such a popular cliché? German soldiers wanted to fight for their country, and there is nothing wrong with that.

  • @DesolateGrunt - No, not all of them were. That's a myth. May I recommend "Ordinary Men" by Christopher Browning. Extremely informing and fascinating.

  • Comment removed

  • You realize most German soldiers were forced into fighting right?

  • sorry, i didn't. if it makes you feel better, i'll delete that comment. i forgot about it, seeing as how I made it 3 mo ago. i kind of feel sorry for him. how can you be sure that the testimonial of being forced to fight is true, that they weren't lying to make up for what they did, or just to make up for being in the Nazi army?

  • @AlWaterford Well not all soldiers were forced to fight. Some were straight Nazis, and then you had types like Schindler who didn't want to be a Nazi for all those reasons, so he had to go behind Hitlers back and basically save a select group of jews by lying. I dunno, it's a little foggy seeing as I learned about all of this last year in 10th grade Global history ;P

  • @NYYankees4240 That's not true. They were soldiers who made an oath to the Fuhrer and as such followed orders. Don't attempt to rewrite history by saying most German soldiers were "forced" to fight. That's bullshit. They're soldiers. That's what soldiers do: Fight.

  • @Dresden1065 A lot of soldiers were forced into fighting for the Nazi army. I'm not rewriting history at all, that IS history. Hitler might have been great at brainwashing, but he was also very forceful too.

  • @NYYankees4240 no they wanted to take over the world

  • @Pokemon68532 Hitler and his band of Nazis wanted the world to be run by what he considered the Aryan race. Not all German soldiers believe in Hilter's ideals though, but were still forced to fight.

  • @Pokemon68532 Well if Obama wanted to take over the world and you where dragged out of your dragged out of your home and from your familt, and friends. The russians come to save the day and you are their prisoner I wonder if they say the same thing about you,The person who was forced into this war who seen many others who where and where not willing to die fall into a bloody mess.

  • @NYYankees4240 You really believe that? They fought for their race and their pride they fought for their country. Hitler made them believe they were superhumans that's why they kept on fighting til the end

  • @NYYankees4240 yes but there were no excuses for just following orders
