  • why is it most 351 stangs are white gt's? lol a local guy had the same car with a 351! stock bottom end with trick flow top end kit went 12.0 on motor and 11.0 on spray thru a c4 and 4.10s.

  • How can you pass emissions with a 351? I want to get a foxbody and put a 351 in it or 408. How do do you get passed emissions?

  • @SoCalJohnston here in dallas texas... cars over 20 years old dont pass emissions at all... so u can mod a 351w all u want...

  • Move away from CA and you can get away with almost anything! Seriously, it's too hard in CA to do that swap and pass the visual inspection. They'll know it's a 351 everytime. Come to Florida and nobody cares. Put a 514 in it and have fun!

  • @Stickman53fe one good thing for sure is the block strength lol but i like my 347 (.40) but i love buzzing the piss out of that motor :) either way if i was to start over i would go W the blocks are stronger but i got a smokin deal on my 347 that i couldnt pass up :)

  • @SoCalJohnston Honestly, on a visual inspection it would take one HIGHLY trained eye to spot the difference between a 302 and a 351w and even then it wouldn't be obvious. You'd have to look for it. As for an actual sniffer test.. I can make any engine pass emissions with the right tuning. Then you just change back to a performance tune after inspection.

  • @SoCalJohnston idk if its differnet were you live, but i know cars dont need emissions if its 95 or older in missouri, just safty. and its hard to tell the difference between a 351 and a 302 if they are sitting right next to eachother.
