Does having any sort of academic credentials proving that one can actually interpret and read doppler radar or visible satellite images mean anything?
Looks like a smoke cloud from a wildland fire to me... And if there is all this activity, where is the USGS earthquake reports showing activity in those areas, or are these gentle volcano's?

Volcanoes happen, that is for certain. but we need to be a little more rigorous in gathering our evidence before making definitive statements of "fact" based on abstract computer radar images.
The entire state of Hawaii is a volcano. Does that mean that every "plume" we see on radar there is an eruption? Of course not.
The big plume on this satellite image is at different location, in the Sequoia National Forest, than the plumes seen on radar that you have tagged as volcanic type venting. This image shows smoke from the wildfire there. The earlier posting showing three large plumes on radar that don't show up well to the eye or on imagery, and all of them emanating from large national military exercise areas. Important people would know if its volcanoes, and their jets would be warming up on the tarmac.

You no it surprises the hell out of me, that there is so many people that think Dutch is full of it. All he is doing is trying to warn people about the potential dangers that could occur. He is doing this for US, he is not getting paid for his videos, although I feel like he should be. He puts alot of time into trying to warn US of potential dangers. Has anyone considered the folks at USGS just aren't that bright? Look around you, folks are asleep. They go to work, collect a paycheck and won't even attempt to look outside their little box. Why should USGS be any different because of a job title?. Pity them.

The truth is, its the Lion Fire in the Sequoias. This "plume" is East of Three Rivers and North of Isabella Lake. This has nothing to do with Dutchsinse, USGS, or other government agencies. Too many gullible forming opinions and pushing that fear without doing their own research. If you know how to read a map, you'd know this isnt Pasgah which is located some 150+ miles South East from where this "plume" aka fire is. Again, its only 15% contained.
But I've been following Dutch's work for months now, and I haven't seen him "pushing fear" about anything. Haven't seen him selling anything either, for that matter. And here's the clincher:
Dutch is allowed to be wrong. And from what I've seen in these comment fora the VAST majority of his viewers are taking the info and forming their OWN conclusions, and we're allowed to be wrong, too.

Hey if it's Sequoia National Forrest, there was a lightening ignited forrest fire or "Lion Fire" as they say that happened in the forrest not long ago. Well Nasa reported on it atleast.
Thinking outside the box here. Could Solaren Corp. be testing their 200 Megawatt space based power station by burning a spot in the lava fields? Maybe just a couple of dry runs before moving forward with building the ground station. Or maybe the military is developing the technology in tandem so it can be weaponized. Solaren is supposed to go operational in 2016 selling energy to PG&E. The ground station is going to be in Fresno, 250 miles away. Just some crazy speculation here.
As for USGS, there is no love lost there. I experienced that first hand when they thought Mammoth was going to erupt in the 1980's and were talking about possible evacuation, then all the business interests in the area complained that such statements were "irresponsible" and "bad for business". They demanded their superiors in Washington to rein in their field guys, and USGS backtracked and totally changed their tune. After that, you couldn't hardly get a straight word out of them.
Also, steam, geysers, or CO2 gas would be very unlikely to start a fire, if not impossible. It would have to be actual magma or ash erupting, I would think, if that were to be the cause.

No reason an eruption couldn't happen in the same place as a wild fire. Just seems less likely they would be at the exact same spot by chance. I suppose volcanic activity could cause a fire though.
But logically, we KNOW there has been a major wild fire burning in that area, in the exact same spot. It would be jumping to major conclusions to say that it was caused by volcanic activity, based only on what we know so far.
That smoke plume would have been in the heavily forested upper west slope of the southern Sierra Nevada mountain range, in Sequioa/Kings Canyon Area. This is hundreds of miles north from Pisgah Crater. Fires in that area tend to be epic, especially when very dry conditions come following very wet years. I have lived in the Owens Valley region and have seen these fires turn day into night for many miles around.
@MrAnomilus You obviously did not watch the video...that PLUME (not a fire) was from a single pin point on the map, it did not expand like a forest fire does. We have seen too many of those, yes on radar, to be so easily misled.

That cloud pushing out from the coast just opposite the venting, forming a semi circle looks a lot like "push out" clouds that can precede quake activity.

USGS doesn't have anything to do with weather. Try checking with the National Weather Service. They can explain your plumes.

The Lion fire is at the same coordinates as this visible satellite plume. Lion fire is @ 36°18′0″N 118°19′19″W
BUT the RADAR plumes are in totally different places and could be something.

You ain't seen nothing yet. We are just starting to see the hair line cracks of a failing wall. Soon the cracks will get larger and larger, the noise will get louder and louder. The truth is, its the Lion Fire in the Sequoias. This "plume" is East of Three Rivers and North of Isabella Lake. This has nothing to do with Dutchsinse, USGS, or other government agencies. Too many gullible forming opinions and pushing that fear without doing their own research. If you know how to read a map, you'd know this isnt Pasgah which is located some 150+ miles South East from where this "plume" aka fire is. Again, its only 15% contained.

Thinking outside the box here. Could Solaren Corp. be testing their 200 Megawatt space based power station by burning a spot in the lava fields? Maybe just a couple of dry runs before moving forward with building the ground station. Or maybe the military is developing the technology in tandem so it can be weaponized. Solaren is supposed to go operational in 2016 selling energy to PG&E. The ground station is going to be in Fresno, 250 miles away. Just some crazy speculation here.

As for USGS, there is no love lost there. I experienced that first hand when they thought Mammoth was going to erupt in the 1980's and were talking about possible evacuation, then all the business interests in the area complained that such statements were "irresponsible" and "bad for business". They demanded their superiors in Washington to rein in their field guys, and USGS backtracked and totally changed their tune. After that, you couldn't hardly get a straight word out of them.

Also, steam, geysers, or CO2 gas would be very unlikely to start a fire, if not impossible. It would have to be actual magma or ash erupting, I would think, if that were to be the cause.

Its a fire.... The Lion Wildland Fire was ignited by lightning on July 8 and is located in the Golden Trout Wilderness on the Sequoia National Forest. The Lion Fire, presently at 17,436 acres, continues to grow as firefighters focus on securing the perimeter and containing the fire. The fire is 15% contained.

Google "NASA - Lion Fire in Central California" for good satellite image.
No reason an eruption couldn't happen in the same place as a wild fire. Just seems less likely they would be at the exact same spot by chance. I suppose volcanic activity could cause a fire though.
But logically, we KNOW there has been a major wild fire burning in that area, in the exact same spot. It would be jumping to major conclusions to say that it was caused by volcanic activity, based only on what we know so far.

That smoke plume would have been in the heavily forested upper west slope of the southern Sierra Nevada mountain range, in Sequioa/Kings Canyon Area. This is hundreds of miles north from Pisgah Crater. Fires in that area tend to be epic, especially when very dry conditions come following very wet years. I have lived in the Owens Valley region and have seen these fires turn day into night for many miles around.

@MrAnomilus You obviously did not watch the video...that PLUME (not a fire) was from a single pin point on the map, it did not expand like a forest fire does. We have seen too many of those, yes on radar, to be so easily misled.
If things are bad now and Elenin is not even in plain site until Aug 3 - Sept 8...well things are about to get interesting.

Skies over Oregon have that electric blue look at ten pm. I'm siitting here watching two planes chemtrail and can see the crap in the air. what i try to mean is that particular image of this plume isn't coming from the Pisgah crater , but far most north .
I don't try to destroy the argument of dutch , there is activity out of here , but on this particular plume of CO2 , there a mistake . This is a fire , not a plume of a volcano , just google Lion fire sequoia natinal forest , you will see .

If you want to truly vindicate yourself, then you need actual physical first hand proof that something is going on over there. In all seriousness, you can't really prove anything unless you have first hand evidence.
There very well could be something going on over there. Anything is possible. So you may be right.
