I grew up in that area...im 23, as I remember westlake theater is now a swapmeet, I don't know how long ago you went there but I bet when it was a theater it would have been pretty nice , with the lights and all.
Yeah, I was just there at the Westlake. I was surprised that really it had not changed much. It is true that the ticket window makes keys and I can buy socks or get a hair cut instead of watching a movie but the walls,floor, balcony, etc were basically the same. Actually, when I was kid (about 40 years ago)it thought it was kind of old fashion and we did not pay much attention to the beautiful artwork (what do kids know).

How do you know 6th St? When I was a kid we used to go to the Westlake Theater all of the time.
