If you want great tasting Ilocos Empanada, try the one at Little Pio's in New York St., Cubao after Ermin Garcia. Masarap yun empanada nila kc they use the vinegar from Ilocos mismo
I wanna know why in the world you used some tortilla-type stuff for empanadas. Surely, as a Colombian, you know that the dough we use for empanadas is NOTHING like tortillas. Plus, the dough is supposed to be a yellowish color. AND, we NEVER, EVER have those disgusting borders made with the fork. Although... now that I think about it, maybe just veggies don't go well with the yellow dough...? But, still, that ugly border. And a quick question. How was that for your Language Arts class? Weird.
because we were being lazy and not wanting to spend time making dough, it was last minute. its a lot easier to pay $2 for pre made dough. i dont know about the fork, thats just how my family has made them for a long time. it also makes it easier to keep them shut. and it was for a visual for my process essay. So basically it was just an addition to a paper I wrote.
Hah yes. I'm a Colombian vegetarian. So I cater them to my diet. When I did eat meat though, I used to make them with ground beef and potatoes. Colombians typically don't put cheese in there.
That was fun. Thank you.
