I'm partial to the thought that Shingyoku are Reimu's parents, though. Reimu killed her parents.

Maybe. It's more a crazy theory based on the fact that Shingyoku is the gatekeeper to Makai/Jigoku, appears as a priest, priestess, and yin yang orb, and Reimu lives alone at the shrine (and as such gets targeted for her power as a Hakurei in the next game).

You can read the story on wikipedia. Pretty much because other people sold better systems for less money. I assume there are some emulators floating around, though I never looked for one myself.
