  • Thank you so much!! I grew up listening to my father play this. I have the LP & have been looking for it on cd for a decade!!

  • leland sklar the bassist of the section also play on a tour with toto, what a great combo ( it was on falling in between tour )

  • I have this album. Good stuff.. Like the song bullet train.....

  • Very difficult to find much about this "band". Bought an album in 1975 or so, was one of my favorites, long gone...

Whle I'm here, thanks to each one of you that make up this band, always remember you guys as much as the headliners that you play(ed) with.

  • I have a cd copy a friend of mine made for me of this group & i first heard this tune { Smilin Ed ] on a KSAN Aircheck tape of a morning show that aired back when this lp came out Lee Sklar has played Bass with alot of artist Billy Cobham is one of em he played on the Spectrum album Danny Kotchner played on alot of records along with Russ Krunkell & then they put together The Section a great short lived fusion band !!

  • Thanks for listening! I did search this out on Wolfgangs Vault a while ago. But like you said, no Smilin' Ed. I play organ and would love to be able to play the keyboard part of Ed but unfortunately I can't play by ear. I e-mailed Craig Doerge, and actually got a response. He said there was no songbook put out by the Section so no hard copy of this great song and so no actual notes for me to reference. The "live" version I reference I think I heard on a radio commercial.
