@dyfman31 so can i hang shit on you for your loss to Ireland or do you do you only claim responsibility when you win? Bragging rights come with actually doing something. Sadly sitting on your couch watching cricket does not count.
Not a record though - something similar happened in an England - Australia Test in the 1970s. A single, a wild return for two overthrows, a still wilder return for another four. The umpires tried to communicate this to the scorers with a sequence of signals - "four - four - one short". :)
dont know what the debate is about, i saw symonds run 4 then get 4 overthrows in brisbane against new zealand. thats 8 in a ball. but yer this is still top stuff
Tbh, I don't watch much cricket but clearly Flintoff isn't the player that he used to be. He is definetly not a great all rounder and wasn't worth that much money at the IPL auctions.
@rgman268 He wasn't bought for his skill or ability - which were fading. He was bought because he is well known. Famous players = higher game attendance/TV figures = more money.
I'm not sure why that would be a seven. surely it should be a four only. If the fielder had instead the balle up and then eg slipped over the boundary, I am sure it would then have been given a four.
@shootingstarisborn To paint a picture, say you hit a ball and it runs to, but stops short of, the boundary. You manage to run five - it's rare but it can happen.
The fielder gets there, picks up the ball, misjudges the return throw and it goes out to the other boundary for four. Why should you be penalised because of the other teams bad play?
"I'm not sure why that would be a seven. surely it should be a four only. If the fielder had instead the balle up and then eg slipped over the boundary, I am sure it would then have been given a four."
Should have been an 8, not a 7. They ran 3, and then ran another while the ball was on the way to the boundary. If they crossed again on the way back it could have been 9...
No its only 7. They get three for the number they ran before the ball was fielded. Since the overthrows went to the boundary they get another four, and any other runs they get don't count. Just like when a batsmen hits a four they only get four and not any runs they ran while the ball was on the way to the boundary. If the overthrow hadn't gone to th e boundary the extra runs would have counted
@DarthFatBoy can you re-explain that to me sorry for my ignorance but I'm American just really understanding Cricket but how did they score 7 your first explanation just didn't sink in to my head
Good one Poms. Giving Clarke the extra runs!

The ashes is roughly 17,000 times more important than the commonwealth bank series. Which was basiclly a warm up for the world cup.
No im not english.

@TheCommentingAccount and people genuinly care about commonwealth bank series? I doubt it.

test cricket - boring, not popular
limited overs - interesting/entertaining, and IS popular.
so yes, people WILL genuinely care about cb series.
TheCommentingAccount 11 months ago
@TheCommentingAccount that does'nt make sense. The Ashes is a test series and more people care about that than the limited overs game :/

Warne is a cheat and a chucker.
He got away from chucking because He is an aussie, white and a racist.
Warne took duiretics, which is a masking agents for drugs. He took duiretics because he took drugs and to cover it. His wickets are worthless.

even know you can go through that whole little speech. he is still a cricketing legend and your a guy being a little bitch on youtube!!
