the professor is incredible, i can picture everything, and i really dont do that with my teacher whos lectures are" Definition 1, 2,3,4.." and thats it.. You can see that he really wants u to understand, not just say it..love when professors are like that..gives students such passion aswell. So thanks for all videos ;)
oh there are students there, its just not a full house. MIT isn't going to pay one of their profs to just talk to a camera without teaching paying students at the same time.
I might go to MIT. I'm in Geometry I Honors, SAT Prep, and Earth & Space Science. I'm in 8th Grade. I'm also in IB and GT. I hope I get to go there someday.

How much content a prof. writes on a board doesn't show how easy/difficult a course is. The difficulty is based on content and concepts. Just because you're used to profs who don't explain content while they write doesn't mean you should judge a course/prof you obviously have no idea about. Then again, I don't know that you've even been to a lecture in your life judging on your grammar, spelling, and difficulty with using the proper characters in a word. Way to form a coherent remark!
the ones that write all the time so you can see their asses are bad profs. this one's good because he makes it seem easy by discussing what he's writing so his students fully understand what's going on
03:33-03:40 "The P in this factorization is the identity matrix." Lightning bolt moment. Everything in the earlier lecturers was building up to this class, and no students there to see it. Ironic.
I don't understand it when he takes Ax=b, and he can get a column space in b equal to a column in A. To get that column in b, all he has is scalar of x1 only. Or x2 only,,,
So what's that??
(I personally think of x as the units/ direction of the vector.)
I wonder if this guy gave lectures when Tony Stark was attending.

he is rather 'preppy' looking- nice tie. He's cool, he won't blow his handle over trifle issues.

Nicely put. I also like his dry humor:
e.g.
"So listing all the 5x5 permutations would be... not so much fun."
"R^2 is the x-y plane. That's what everybody thinks."

Don't forget, "We'll leave that up to the author to explain" when he's the author of the book :P

I like how there are no students in the hall, and it took me a while to figure out he was talking to the camera.

he explains the idea of vector spaces brilliantly
if you don't understand vector spaces this is the
best place to learn it

Yes. I learned Linear Algebra from his book - it is one of the best. I always wanted to see him teach it, and I am now - and I am not disappointed!
