Thinning shears will not get rid of frizz. It might even add frizz. Cause if you think about it you're shattering random pieces of your hair, so when it grows out, your hair will appear more frizzy.

@LilUbw Actually, that's not true. I used to have REALLY thick, REALLY dense hair and it's lasted ages - and my hair definitely did not get frizzier, in fact, it seems that it tamed it more.

@raccoonxeyesxx As a hairstylist I wouldn't recommend to have your hair thinned out with thinning shears to specifically get rid of frizz. I understand why she got it considering her the texture of her hair, but for most people who actually have frizzy hair, like for ECH hair, should never use thinning shears. The majority of my clients who have previously had their hair thinned out with thinning shears were not satisfied a few months later when their hair started growing out.
