i can't wait for this to be released in the UK! I loved my dext (UK version of the cliq) but it had so many little problems that they seem to have fixed in the 2nd one :D

i have the original cliq and did like the cliq. but im undecided if i want this phone or if i should just wait for another phone. the original cliq seemed to have issues in some aspects. ESPECIALLY after the Eclair update which i was happy and very unsatisfied with. i wonder if i should get this one or not...

@gondonlon5 First of all, im a cliq owner as well but if I were you I'll wait it out. HTC is going to have an announcement sometime in February.

I have the original CLIQ running overclocked at 748mhz with 2.1 eclair and multitouch. I'm much happier with the phone using a customised firmware.

the CLIQ2 comes pre-clocked at 1ghz and with 2.2 Froyo. For those that feel safe with overclocking, imagine what possibilities could be done with this phone months down the line.

Though there are some things I would have preferred this phone include (4G, Frontfacing Camera, UMA, D-pad), it's overall a worthy upgrade to the aging predecessor .

I'm surprised that MIchael said the keyboard was quite nice, and worked well--the Cliq's keyboard looks as if it would drag the finger too much.

I like the text editor feature motoblur has. Very nice.

No instant messaging through wifi?

@lopezr1000 because mine is overclocked to 748mhz this thing is still on 2.1 my cliq is on 2.2 and cliq 2 doesnt have a front facing camera
